Hi Josi! It was fun watching you guys try to figure out the Japanese snacks 🤣 I’m Japanese so I can confirm some of the things you questioned! Pocky is pronounced “po-kki” with an “o” sound. The black KitKat is labeled “for adults” and they are dark chocolate. The squid is a savory treat, similar to beef jerky but with squid. I used to eat those as a kid but Japanese people love to eat them with beer. The “cookies” with the animal’s holding fruits are indeed candy! They’re similar to the American Smarties but way better and melts in your mouth! The coke soda candies are so fun because they bubble in your mouth. The Peko Poko chocolates were my favorite when I was a kid!! Fun fact about the Calpico drink is that in Japan, they are actually called “Calpis” but if you pronounce it in English it sounds like “cow piss” so they renamed it for their international products 😂 As always, loved the interaction between you and Emil trying out the treats, especially when Emil said “you got more than me” your reaction was priceless 🤣
