I was definitely yelling at my screen when you couldn't figure out the Ramune bottle cap! 🤣 I love those bottles. I always get the lychee flavor at H-Mart.
That's my wife and I on the right side! We didn't catch your name in the restaurant. A friend saw us and sent us the link. We did opt for the filet upgrade and it was delicious. Although, since they just bumped the price from $10 to $18, we will probably just stick with the strip steak next time. We do eat here regularly and every chef is different. Some much better than others. We still enjoy the experience and it is one of our favorites. We may take up your advice and try Kobe. There is one right in front of our resort.
I agree with your review. If you’re paying that much you shouldn’t have to add something to your food to make it taste better. It was great seeing you and your brother reunited! Good, honest review. Thanks, Kristen
As soon as I saw the noodles plated I was thinking that is the smallest portion of hibachi I've ever seen. Usually plate is overflowing and I have leftovers for another dinner. Happy to skip this one!
We have a great hibachi place near me and for less than what you paid we get soup, shrimp flambé, filet mignon, white rice, fried is extra but what I get, veggies, and noodles. So good and plenty of food to take home some. Also some really fun entertainment! I would have also been a little disappointed by your meal!
YSK…Teppanyaki =\= Hibachi. There is a difference and Teppan Edo is not a Hibachi cooking style restaurant. Teppan Edo is a Teppanyaki cooking style restaurant. 😅 Love your videos!! ❤❤❤
You’re such a divisive vlogger/critic. My BF says you’re overly critical and I am team Kristen 100%. There are so many Disney vloggers who just love everything because it probably gets better clout from Disney, but this is the real hot take. You’re spot on almost all of the time. You love Disney and food BUT you keep it real that the food is expensive and Disney should come with HIGH expectations and then when they’re not met even compared to benihana it’s a let down. This is the content that needs to be seen because if I’m going to spend $50 (plus Canadian exchange) on a meal I want to be IMPRESSED
Totally agree with your review of Teppan Edo. I feel the portions are WAY too small for the price and you will be hungry later. We have hibachi close to home and get 2-3 times what Disney serves guests. Thanks for confirming our assessment.
You can find the mango peelers at 5 below! They have tons of them there along with other flavors. They are so delicious! The orange and mango are my favorite. Love your channel!
We last went to Teppan Edo five years ago, and we've never been back. It's just not that great. Like you said, there are much better options outside of Disney.
I am looking forward to trying this out in August when I go. Super excited to try the chicken. glad we can more rice as i like that better than noodles but still excited for it. Thank you for your honest review. I love Hibachi also, so will be quite interesting how Disney does it.
The Chef humming "The Chicken Dance" when putting the chicken on the hot grill! lol Every visit of ours to Teppan Edo I found the flavor very lacking. I had only gone because my daughter liked the hibachi experience. I never had the steak (I don't eat red meat), but have had both, the chicken and shrimp, and wasn't a fan of neither. Now that my daughter is grown, I choose where I eat based on what tastes good to me. I haven't been to Teppan Edo in a few years now, and based on your review, it hasn't changed, so I don't see a trip there in my near future. I got the Frozen Wafer on my "must try" list for our trip next month.
All the restraunts should have two options. Reg and expedited. It makes sense for APs who go all the time to want to take time and have more of a dining experience, while people like me who only get to FL every few years want to be in and out within an hour to get back to the parks/rides.
I think I first saw ya'll eating with Mr. Marrow but Crazy Disney Lady mentioned your channel typed it in and there ya are...just what I like Eating my way through Disney World is what me and the fam like to do.
This was very interesting for me to watch. I went in 2010 and it was the exact same. Small portions, bland food, the chef didn’t interact enough. I am so surprised nothing has changed after 14 years. The changes are not that major that they would need to make.
The drink with the ball in it was always my go to take home! Would get four or five and wrap them the best I could praying they made it in one piece in the suitcase lol. Forgot about them!
Ramune you can get lots of different flavors. Look at an Asian store or Japanese market. Hi Chew is tasty. My favorite is peach and green apple. I’ve never been to Hibachi that is “the best ever”, it always seems to be just for the fun and experience. Glad you enjoyed your sweet treats! Thanks for these vlogs!
I think, by just looking at your portion size, it was not worth it. The Japan gift shop treats look interesting . Always like to see you and Ryan vlogging together.
Kristen, I am glad it was under seasoned so I would be able to add soy sauce etc..Most food is so salty at Disney. I would rather have just enough to eat because we are staying on property and the refrigerators are not cold enough for leftovers
So what you’re saying is…the locally owned hibachi restaurant here in TN is better than the Disney one in Epcot. Good to know. The one here even does the oil Mickey. I always have enough leftovers to get 2 more meals from the one here too. Also, I buy Hi-Chew from target and Amazon all the time if anyone wants to try it without going to Epcot. That ice cream thing looks good though. I hope I get to try it someday.
I did this on my last day of my trip, two weeks ago. I really enjoyed d it. I have always wanted to do a Habachi with family but they are under the impression that is extremely expensive. Our Habachi “Chef” seemed new lol, she was having trouble doing all the tricks 🤣 but she was very nice
I was over here yelling at the screen telling you how to open that ramune. LOL Oh and ramune is 1.50 everywhere else except Disney, of course. LOL They're like 100 yen in Japan. I do love the show at Teppan Edo. :D
Ooof that’s expensive for hibachi!! But I know it’s Disney. The one we go to (I’m in NY near Manhattan) it’s so so good and flavorful and I can get a filet mignon / shrimp combo for $37!! Plus I get soup with that in addition to all the stuff that place serves. AND we get hibachi fried rice! But the number 1 reason I don’t go there is bc I have one at home I love so it’s not a special unique experience but also bc usually it DOES take up a lot of time and when I’m in the parks, I don’t want my dinner to take up too much of my park time.
There's no excuse for them not giving larger noodle portions, as noodles are really inexpensive, it would really help fill up the plate and customers wouldn't feel the portion was too small. What a bummer. I do think the portion shouldn't be big enough to have left overs, because who wants to carry left overs around with them in a theme park. But it should have been bigger than what you got for sure. And under-seasoned too??? Noooo. I wonder if the sushi is good at least.
We have eaten there before and definitely prefer Kobe. I always get the filet and scallops ( at Kobe) and we always bring home a large container of noodles and vegies for the next day. Loving this series Kristin,we did try the new little taco place you recommended, got the pork street tacos and will be going back to try a couple other things 🤗🥰
Ramune: you got it, but you remove the plunger T out of the top cap. Press down… and then when you go to drink make sure the dimples (where the marble falls into) are toward your body as they are meant to catch the marble as you drink so it doesn’t roll back into the opening and stop the flow.
I felt like the noodle portion was really small so I asked for a second helping and they charged us a little bit extra but I love noodles so it was worth it
Thanks for saving us soooo much time and money. No fried rice as a start would be a deal killer for us. Throw in lousy portions and crazy “Disney Premium Pricing” (Ryan has to be full of it about real hibachi restaurants)😂
I enjoyed it when we went years ago , probably 15 years. I ordered exact same thing you did. I know my husband was starving afterwards. Your chef didn’t build Olaf or Mickey from the onions which I have seen others post. The show is best part of Hibachi, and it’s usually a long meal. Shocked you were there only an hour. You must have been excited to see a WNBA player since we know you love basketball 🏀
I agree with you 100% on this review. I have eaten at Teppan Edo only once, but the one thing that sticks out for me is the white rice they give you. For a meal that was so expensive and such small portion sizes, at least give me fried rice and season it well. Not my favorite and I’ll always skip this place for that reason.
You're at a Disney theme park restaurant, not a regular restaurant. I'm not surprised that you had paid more than expected. This is why I rarely, if ever, attend dine-in restaurants at a theme park. I'm surprised that you didn't realize this.
I feel like your brother looks so familiar, but I can’t place it. If you told me he was in The Acacia Strain at some point, I’d believe it, but that can’t be it. Or heck, maybe it can.
In a past life being in that band would have been a dream of mine! But I took the more PG route and became a disney vlogger 😂 I’m sure it may have been the Cthulhu tattoo or maybe my wormwood bird on my leg that made you think of it! Nonetheless, no I was not in that band 😅

I love how the kid in blue across from you was 100% not impressed by any of the proceedings. You go, teen who would rather be at Universal than with his family at Disney. You'll discover Disney nostalgia again as an adult. I enjoyed Teppan Edo the times I've been there. The staff are very nice and tolerate my attempts to communicate in my very limited Japanese with good grace. But it is very pricey for what you get and if you want an experience unique to the Disney theme parks then look elsewhere.

I agree about the seasoning. You should not need to season. Disney portions are usually small. Very rare to have leftovers.
We just went to Auji Sushi in winter garden shopping center for Hibatchi, and it was way more food and so good. It's also cheaper and seasoned 😆
Where is the Kobe video? Can't wait to see it! Also you should go to Black Angus, our fav place!

Just looked in up Wagyu stands for Japanese Cattle and it has something to do with the way they are fed and the marbling of the fat. Very interesting.
I think the last person I would expect to be in a Disney vlog is Elena Delle Donne lmao
This is a must eat for me and my son
Its one of our favorite restaurants but to each their own.
Benniha in Orlando for lunch is the best deal. Ton of food for under $30. Disney is straight up food crime.

Hi-Chews are 🔥! There should be a lychee flavor. There is a Lychee Ramune and it is really good! But yeah they're expensive.
Hi Chew mango is the best!!!
Ryan is right the steak is underseasoned. That’s because they don’t season it. Only a little salt so you use the dipping sauces.
I was over here yelling at the screen telling you how to open that ramune. LOL Oh and ramune is 1.50 everywhere else except Disney, of course. LOL They're like 100 yen in Japan.
