I WROTE MY FINAL YEAR DISSERTATION TWO DAYS BEFORE THE DEADLINE...and it was stressful

- So per usual I left everything to the last minute and ended up writing my bachelor's thesis / dissertation two days before the deadline. Honestly one of the worst things I've ever done, but now that it's over you can enjoy me hating life in this video. enjoy :)

Same feeling. I often feel like I am the only person like this and that I am insane.
i also wrote my Bachelor-Thesis in Psychology in 4 days (writing time 12-14hrs/day) and read my literature in 6 days (ca. 8 hrs/day - 6 books with 200-600pages), so 10 days in total. while I was writing I also searched and read more pages, papers and articles. when I got into the copy-shop after 30/hrs of being awake and writing, I was still finishing my last sentence and dissociated, hearing voices in French (I don't even speak French). This process was the worst and terrifying thing I have ever done in my academic and/or personal life regarding stress and fear or however you wanna call it. never.doing.this.again. I am a new human, reborn and cleansed. I was living in my head for 10 days straight, it felt like the room of time and space in DBZ, but without time stopping.
I still have no grade, maybe I will update this comment soon. wish me luck. please.
btw. my bachelor thesis is also the worst academic thing I have written, including first semester papers. I am humbled and leveled up as a human now though. :)))
Edit: First update: my Prof. told me, that I passed - grade could take another 1-2 months :P lets go
Edit: Second update: I passed with 2,0 (our grades go from 1,0-5,0, you pass with 1 being the best and 5 means you failed, 4,0 is the border). Not that bad, huh...but it was... but now I know - it was just a bachelor thesis... :)
It's so refreshing to know that people like me stay all over the world and tend to finish the assigned job 1 sec before deadline

Thought I would return back to this video and comment that I recieved a 2:1 in my 12,000 word diss which i did a WEEK before deadline! Anyone in this comment section who is currently looking for motivation, it is possible - just after lots of struggle and zero sleep ;)

@@tajcin.2769 Managed to get it done within hours of the deadline. It became easier to write the dissertation with more research that I had available.
Once I got it done, I took a rest for the entire day since I spent two months trying to finish all of my essays.
I told myself i wouldn't procratinate my dissertation...here we are a month before the deadline😭

holy shit !! I can preview my life for the next month!! i have already done half of the job but there is still another half to go for in 1 month period. I honestly believe lastminute work brings up the best out of anyone , as long as they cope with the stress and manage time
procrastinating my final assignment while i watch you struggle writing yours after procrastinating on it for months :D perfect! hahaha jokes this is motivating me to not end up doing it like you did :') i got 3 weeks left.

This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid, I have a year left at Uni and can now start doing all the errands to begin my thesis, but I just had finals and I had to pull an all nighter to finish a few final projects, honestly one of the dumbest things I've ever done because I know I did okay, if I had sat down to do my final projects just a few weeks or even days before the deadline I know I would have been able to do a much better job. I'm watching videos like this precisely so I remember how awful it is to leave everything for the final minute
Right...you need to stick to your plans girl!! I had the same mindset.. at the beggining of the year I told myself that this is the last thing I need to do, so let’s try and actually do everything on decent times, so that I don’t have to stress about it... and then this just happened. BUT I believe in you , you can do it!!! So honestly start planning it beforehand and even if you do a little minor thing a day, it’s already better than nothing 👍🏻☺️

It went a lot better than I expected haha, I got a 8/10 ☺️

My advice would have to be to start earlier than I did, to have enough time for everything before you have to start stressing 😄

Uhm well you should deffo contact someone, I think it depends on the uni and what measures they take in these cases. I’m pretty sure if I wouldn’t have submitted it before the deadline I would have to explain the situation and hope for the best, but at the same time they do have the right to tell you that you need to do it again next year + there would be a lot of fees to pay.

I have my Master's dissertation + presentation due day after tomorrow and I am far from starting. I wrote my Bachelor's dissertation in 2 days as well. I hate how knowing that we can pull it off at the last minute only makes it bad. The fact that I'm struggling with a depressive episode makes it worse. Currently procrastinating by watching this video and a million other things. It's a bit of a relief to know I'm not the only one who struggles with this. 🥲

@@tajcin.2769 I actually did! Managed to get an A+ too. But to be very honest, I consider it one of my worst works. The idea was very well researched but if I had given writing more time, it would have been much better. Definitely didn't live up to my standards.
How much did you researched? I did mine but my supervisor made me rewrite most of it because i didnt research enough beforehand. Now i have to do it again( 40 pages) in 5 days and i want to do a deeper research
