What a champion batsman,better than Tendulkar with all due respect,Tendulkar made most runs in both formats but most of them were in losing cause,Ricky scored THAT hundred against India at the grand WC final and Made so many runs in winning causes and made such a fantastic australia side that was dominant for a long time,was a great fielder and captain too,such a skillful and master cricketer
Not a fair comparison. Cricket is a team game. An individual cant win you game single handedly. Ricky had best australian team of that era to support. Sachin had poor team to support during his peak. Still you have to check records to not accept Sachin as good player. The fact that Sachin played with poor team during his peak and still scored runs and contributed in winning cause makes him good batsman.
But I agree to certain point that australians are not possesive about star culture and prioritises their team over their position in the team. So I think Ponting was complete team player and great batsman and leader.

Except this small weakness he was totally outstanding against any other fast and medium Pacers. Sublime!! Against quality pace attack his pull and hook was worthy to watch and was capable to damage strength of any fast bowling unit. Against pace he is much ahead of sachin Tendulkar

Kohli or perhaps all indians (1.4billions) can never be as good as ponting. Ponting was not just batsman but also great captain, fielder athletic. Kohli is another Tendulkar who can't perform in biggest tournaments like ponting.
