Thank you again, this was an old video lol My full Hertz system that eventually was all Mille Legend products…I miss my ML280 tweeters I think those are very underrated tweeters for the price

Yeah they are full of it, the legends and pros ( ferrite Version ) Sound great and have punch... I didn’t want to say anything but the Mille Legends I heard were definitely in my top 3.. I never understood why the ppl on the forums rag on them due to the price.. Most ppl get them way below MAP anyway.. Your system sounds great already brother 😀 The dsp and active will take it to the next level!!! Enjoy your new system 😎
H O IR i IZ O N yes that forum is odd how they all follow that guy. He is a great wealth of info but no one is the end all be all for sound quality. Like I said I am an experienced Audio Engineer and have used focal Eutopia ( called solo6 be for pro audio ) as well as many other Dynaudio speakers. The hertz Mille legends and pro are very good for the $$$. Enjoy your setup bro.. Sounds great

@@CarAudioHorizons if you are talking about the guy from New York on one of the car audio forums. I had him tune my car with these speakers and he did not do a good job. With the amp I'm pushing it should be a lot louder which I explain to him but he argued with me so I gave up
jim bo Honestly I think if you can gain the knowledge and do the installs yourself then you know what kind of install your getting. I have had so many issues over the years with bad installations. You might spend a ton of money at a place and then you think their head installer is going to do the work but he passes it off to the beginner at the shop. Then it gets a mediocre install usually with issues.
You can still get mlks with a ferrite magnet. Its the mlk 165.3
Sounds really nice. Bass is really song dependent. I could play music on a bass heads stereo and very little come up. I get this all the time with my home stereo Klipsch Bells. "No bass!" I keep reading while I'm playing it and it's shaking the WALLS throughout the home. *Scratch head*. Ok I say.

@@giopap512 This is an old system, and I bought a new vehicle and put in a new system in 2020. Search my channel you will see many videos in it.
I like SQ speakers so much more than those pro audio mids and bullet tweeters.

I get all Hertz stuff at cost. My 165.3 component set was $399 and the Mille pro 10" subs $230 each!

Once you get up there is price everything is decent, it’s just a matter of what’s your preference sound wise.
It's all perspective. One might say no mid bass and someone else says a lot of mid bass. I would say that the speakers lack bass
Nice. Are those just the Hertz what I'm hearing there? The highs sound a bit dull, but that could be because of the device that you're recording with or even the track itself. I've seen other Videos of this System and the highs there were just amazing.
That’s my old system and it was an older iPhone that was recording it so it was probably that. It sounded great but not as good as my new system. But it’s UA-cam so it’s never going to sound like it does in person

I'd have to agree with the lack of bass compared to the others 1653, however, this has more than enough bass.
It’s most definitely not an Audio Frog GB60 but it’s a good speaker overall. Let’s see if Hertz brings out it’s replacement as it’s been a long time. This video was a really long time ago. I changed vehicles and audio equipment and now do Reviews on DAP’s, Dongle DAC’s, Streamers, Amp/DAC’s etc..
Just installed Hertz ML1800.3. How would GB60 compare with Dynaudio Esotar / top Morels? @@CarAudioHorizons
Both of those hi end models are 3 to 5 times the price but still won’t give you the mid bass of the GB60’s unless you went into their 8,9 inch speaker. Sound quality wise they can all sound like crap if they’re not installed and tuned properly which most of the time they’re not 😂

This was in my old vehicle from quite a few years ago. It was just a simple build with all Hertz Mille Legend 1650.3 & ML280’s and just one 5 channel HDP5 bridged. I had a few different combinations of subs and speakers but in the end it was all Mille legend. There was no DSP in this vehicle.

Hey man, can i ask how many watts do you power these? I'm choosing between using my Oldschool DLS a7s make it a 3way. Imma bridge 2 channels for the front then the other one to power the sub.
Or you recon me getting a newer 5ch amp? ML power 5 maybe? Although they both will have similar output.

Back then I was running about 150 watts into them but this is probably not going to do you any good now lol
Would you prefer a 3 way setup with hertz mille pro or 2 way legends 1650.3? That's a tough decision I'm struggling with.

I will now have a audison 5.1 and audison quattro
Ended up buying audison thesis components up front. Hertz mille pro coax in rear. Running active system now.
Have a audison bit one and I ended up buying 2 pairs of midranges and trying to figure out which 3" midrange to run.
I first bought focal utopia 3w2. Then kind of decided I may want to keep it all audison and bought a set of audison voce 3"
Now I'm just gonna put it which sounds the best and not worry so much about matching speakers. Which 3" would you prefer for this setup? Thanks again, lance

@wyldeyouth 5.1 I was referring to a car audio amp that does 5 channels. 4 channels for mids and highs and 1 channel for subs. Car audio is still stereo. Left and right. In cars, you usually have more speakers since everyone can hear thru out the car. It's not a surround sound setup. Thanks

About 210 watts and I run a Helix DSP Ultra so it’s active

Hi, how does this MLK sounds are that brighter in tonality.
This was my old system and if you search my channel you will see my new system.
That being said they are good speaker’s especially for the price as here in Canada I paid $999 for the 2-way Hertz ML1650.3. Overall they’re a balanced speaker, not bright whatsoever. Some people just don’t like the mid bass part as they’re not as punchy as the older models like the ML1600 or the models before those. The original Mille were the best but also cost 3 times as much and came with a briefcase 💼

@@elpekenodelsabor.9469 In this system I only had about 550 watts into the two tens which they could have easily taken 1-1500. I always like headroom. I had hi energy subs and then the Mille Legends both sounded good but the Milles were definitely a step up.

Hi, I have done everything right to make these woofers produce a heavy punching sound but they are severely lacking midbass between 60-120Hz. Did you have a long "burn-in" time for them?
In my other car i have Morel Tempo Ultra 5x7 2-way system, and they produce 2x as much midbass, i almost don't need a sub for that car. So i know what is possible.
Well they are not a true mid bass speaker but in my old vehicle they did fine for mid bass. That being said if you want crazy mid bass go for the Audio Frog GB60’s. That’s what I have in my current vehicle.

@@yasin.48 I review products so I use quite a few different devices but my last DAP is the FiiO M17. I’m going to check out the Hiby R6 Pro 2 in the next month and see how that is as I have heard good things

@@mivecd5 Oh ok their component speakers. When it comes to speakers especially a companies hi end components, it’s what you prefer. I’m not a huge fan of Rockfords speakers I think they do a better job with their amps and subs kind of like JL Audio.

Honestly it doesn’t really sound good I have a hertz hsk 165 with Rockford 360 dsp and mine sound a lil better than that!
I can guarantee these sound way better in person mate! I used to run the hsk's and the mlk 165.3's are way better sounding :P the mlk 165.3 legends are the next model down from the 1650's too
I had the HSK 165XL’s they are decent but not nearly as good sound quality wise to the Mille’s 1650’s, with the 280 tweets or ML1600’s with the 280 tweets.

I bet you it sounds better in person! Combination of a poor camera mic and youtubes compression algorithm is the most likely culprit to poor sound on videos!
Everything sounds dead audio wise on UA-cam when it comes to car audio.
