belinda joseph good question! For a six inch ball like this one, the pentagon and hexagons have a side measurement of 3.3mm I’m not familiar with the larger sizes. You can probably Google it. There are also cutter sets you can buy online for Soccer ball cakes which makes it even easier!

Cupcake Savvy's Kitchen I’ve got that massive soccer ball tin and had so many problems the cake would stick still even after spraying and using flour. The cake shop told me just to use flour didn’t work. Now I have to use baking paper cut into small triangle cut outs

If you mix 1 tablespoon oil, 1 Tablespoon shortening and 1 Tablespoon flour together you can paint it on the inside of the tin and the cake will not stick.

Hello Savvy....I just made this soccer ball for my friends 5 year old son. My question is: Does the alcohol of the vodka evaporate after being brushed on the fondant? Is it safe for the boy to eat it? Greetings from Greece

Yes, it evaporates. You can also just rub/shine it up with another piece of fondant that you gently rub all over to remove marks if you prefer.
