These are not widely available for most trappers besides the ones closer to the border, we try our best to give information to the broadest audience we can and let them tailor it down to what works in their areas
I like the skunk suggestion! Those are usually they ones I would avoid. I definitely agree with the muskrat! Also coons are the bread and butter of the midwest.
If you can start to become a skunk expert you alot of money off of them because of the essence, much like beavers and castor but more prevalent than beavers in most areas
Thanks for supporting us! You have a few options, if you are selling them raw you can do it through word of mouth or Craigslist type sights, other site you can use is trapperman.com and people are always buying and selling skulls on there, or if you clean them up you can sell loke any normal item online or other avenues
Im surprised that nutria pelts aren't worth anything. Not in that fur is generally Down, but the quality of the fur isn't as good as beaver but leagues better than muskrat and the pelts are larger too. Plucked and sheared, it used to be dyed and passed off as beaver or seal.
Unfortunately I believe it's due to where they reside, their fur is not what people are able to use for general clothing and skins are I'm guessing pretty green like unprime muskrats, since it doesn't get cold enough where they live it never becomes prime so have to settle for the Bountys that city's or county's put on them
