If you configure the first circle just like you want it, you can select it and hit Ctrl+D (Duplicate). It will create a new circle (or whatever shape you have) in the same spot as the original. You can do this multiple times for additional duplicates. This will work with whatever objects you select both single objects and multiples at the same time.
Rather than Copy and Paste, I've found the Duplicate option to work better as it creates a copy in exactly the same spot as the original. Also, K40 Whisperer has advanced options where you can choose to have it do multiple passes automatically for Cut, Vector engrave and Raster.
actually, instead of moving the laser head by hand.... set up your wood where you like it, initiate laser head to home, then grab upper left corner of picture and drag to where you want to start your cut on the wood, don't move the head by hand. Use the directional arrows to be more accurate if needed. Then go advanced settings and pick the number of passes you want/adjust speed..... now after every pass it will not go all the way "home", it will go back to original start of cut. I've done this 50 times in the past week, that's the only thing different that you are doing vs how I set up the wood/material and laser head
You could also just use MeerK40t. It doesn't go anywhere it's not specifically told to go. You could just add a circle, drag the svg into the scene. And change the passes in the cut operation to 3.
its junk software that is indicative of the leftist infiltration of academia. the fact its an MIT project that looks like it was written by a 3rd grader is disheartening.

great tip - i wondered if this was how it would work if there were overlapping lines. I get my k40 on Christmas Day - wife has it on lockdown because it's a Christmas gift. I can look at it, but I can't turn it on. LOL. I'm a shirt maker - so I'm already expert in Inkscape. I do suggest you go to UA-cam and look up the proven Inkscape teacher - Logos By Nick - if you spend a little time doing his projects you will quickly master the art of Inkscape. It's so worth the time.
For some reason when I did the duplicate the laser heads still went to the Home position in between cuts I don’t know why the duplicate is different from the copy

David Herrera. Thanks man. Can’t wait to give that a shot
nice all this helped for future projects!

I have tried the multi cut part of k40 whisperer and I cant seem to make it not pause between cuts. maybe im doing it wrong

Ian Roesner. Thanks. I need all the advice I can get. I’m getting better, but it can get very difficult sometimes

David Olsen. Awesome thank you I will try that

If you use Lightburn you can just set the number of passes. Much easier.
Rick McCaskill. In order to use lightburn I have to change the control board.

Awesome info. I will go check him out. Hope you enjoy your k40. I have had a lot of fun with mine. All kinds of upgrades.
Why not just F6 in K40 Whisperer and then making your PASSES to how many you want?. No need to duplicate anything.
Because it’s the homing of the head that irritates me I don’t want it to pause in between cuts I just want it to keep going
Brilliant thanks mate
OR, you could select the circle and simply press CTRL + D twice.

Lightburn and a Mini Gerbil will bring your K40 a whole new life!
Custom Creations. I have heard of light burn. My kid has a Gerbil😁
Wooohoooo you fkn rule brotha did it one on accident hahaha never been able to figure out how 🙏😁🖒
Just update whisper it has multi pass option no need for all this extra
For some reason it still wants to go to the Home position between cuts maybe there’s something I’m doing wrong
Great video thank you
Why don't you just tell it in k40 whisperer how many passes you want under advance settings.
brettie. Because it still homes between cuts
Sorry I thought it was more about you having to keep restarting rather than the homing. I'm new to inkscape so I learnt something anyway. 👍
awesome and thanks
