I really enjoyed this video series with the Vett !! I did similar back in the day with a 77'......all red.......paid 2200 for it and slightly swamped by Daytona Beach........pulled engine and trans.......rebuilt both but mostly just needed cleaned out...........drove her to pick up a stunning beauty I met on spring break, from New Paris , Ohio.......finally sold her for 10k...!!! Really wish I kept both the Lady and the car........both were wonderful !!!!

Super stoked to see you turn those wheels. Not much documentation online of the process to do that - at least not in a hacky half-assed way.

Can confirm all of these costs as real. Literally just did a very similar thing with a c4. Always better to just buy a sorted car, albeit with none of the fixing fun.

It’s still a good deal because you could buy one for the 13k and it could end up needing half that same work. I like the white and red combo , a lot.

@10:45 wonder if you could use one of the cheap capacitive touch pens you can use with smart phones that dont have pen input (they have a metal body and conductive foam tip that emulates your finger touching something).

If course but honestly for someone to take on such a build you must have some kind of free resources.. I wouldn’t be spending money on a welder for 4 hours but he knew he had his brother so yup as long as you know you hav es one help the cost goes down

That is a pretty sweet daily for 10 grand that you can have fun driving and not be afraid to put some miles on. Park it anywhere and eat in it. It will still be worth what you have in it in year or two. Nice work. Keep us updated once the tune is tweaked.

Nice job on the Vette. For these cost videos. To me at least, what I'd like to see is almost a spreadsheet: Actual, Freebie vs if-I-had-to-buy, and Optional. I think that would be more exciting to see: "wow, it should've cost 25,000, without our optionals it would still have been 18,000, but with our wheelin'-dealin' and freebies it was 8,000 isn't that cool....."

If you add the labor which went into this thing, it would be at least double the amount. Interesting to watch, but the numbers wouldn't work for me.
