I wish they would re-issue some version of the big-enclosure effects from the '70s that preceded the compact pedals we know. So, the Funny Cat, the Bee-Baa, the AP-5 and AP-7 phasers, and the Double Beat. All great pedals with unique sounds.
The "SDS" soft distortion sub-circuit in the Funny Cat was pretty darn unique. It is most certainly NOT for the metal and hard rock crowd, but provides enough additional harmonic content to enhance the sound of the filtering. Having built a few Funny Cat clones, I'm impressed by it.
I just recently got the BP-1W. Had to keep ‘camping’ on my local GC website for it. Just 3 days ago, they put it on their website. Straight in my cart and checkout! Went to the website again to see if I was the lucky one when it arrived 2 days later and indeed it was ‘on request’ list. But dang! The BP-1W is really an awesome pedal. Run in with my overdriven solid state amp and the sustain was for days. Gonna try it on my SC20H soon!
Boss has always been a great "Standard"-If you do not or have not owned a Boss pedal at some point of your time playing, I guess you have been living in a cave- Great video-Thank you.
Boss are great for pedals & fx. I almost thought they'd do a modern version of the GR style pedals, but maybe that's not a part of their ethos. Have they put out a multi pedal PSU unit like the strymon one yet?
No new Katana line? Thought they would be updating them this year to keep up the rivalry with others like Blackstar’s new releases in this segment.. Apparently not.
i'm almost 100% sure it's because it's filmed with camera hold by hand. it looks like this when u r standing and filming something with camera in ur hand
It's funny that they're selling a $500 SDE-3000 and a $600 EVH one when you can get an original for less than half that pretty easily. I'd get a third DM-2W before I'd get any of those delays. I don't know who they think they're impressing with the DM-101 in a world where the Zen Delay, Benidub Echo, and Suhr Discovery exist for the same price. It's like they repurposed the RE-202 chassis (complete with USB Micro-B) and turned it into an analog delay with a worse interface than any delay I've seen. It doesn't even have any tone/filter/EQ controls.
What are you talking about? They literally just put out a boost pedal that contains pre-amps from the Space Echo and CE chorus, as well as a new monster of an analog delay unit
@@adognamedshinji What are YOU talking about? The boost came out in November and the delay, if you mean the DM, back in June. Not what I'd call new. Yes, Korg went a little overboard with their releases, but most of the other major brands don't seem to have anything new for 2024.
I have an SL-2 Slicer pedal I use with my synths/voice, full stereo I/O, sounds famous with ranges between John Carpenter and pure Disco. Can't get the midi working to save my life, however. Evil minijack bullshit, kind of unavoidable at that scale. I just tap it in with a sustain pedal.
Boss killing it for 50 years.
Boss has been killing it lately. I really wish Boss/Waza would release an OC-2W
Love the EVH SDE 3000! Great NAMM show this year, I was there too.
Glad I snagged the 50th Anniversary SD-1, DS-1 and BD-2, the sparkle finishes are cool!

But I've heard those suck? That's what everyone is saying.
The bee baa was crazy good and I’ve never seen one in real life

I wish they would do the Roland Jet Phaser in a Boss compact pedal, maybe a Funny Cat?
SDE 3000 EVH has become the cornerstone of my board. Cannot say enough good about it!
Really excited to see these new thing from boss. I’m a big fan and have always had at least one product on my board.
Flawless delivery on the walkthrough!

I love the BP-1w
Love Boss pedals. Would like to see more full stereo stompboxes for use with synthesisers!
I hate to speak otherwise of Boss, but there a mono-in > stereo out box called ‘The Stereomaker’.
I can’t WAIT to put that after my OD-200! 🫨
yea hate having to buy two 😅
Yes, more stereo-in stereo-out pedals!
The DC-2w is great with the stereo ins/outs
@@scramblesthedeathdealer Indeed. All my synths go through it before being recorded.
Boss is such a great company!
When I saw that GR-500 module I almost gasped out loud, thinking they had re-issued it.
Thanks you so much Boss

Love Boss - would really like to see mini-pedals for their whole line up.
I wish Boss would continue with the Twin Pedal series.

I still don't understand the step back for the go pickup. Now you need two individual chords for the synth and the guitar?
Still have my 🤞 for a
‘Waza MD-2’.
I wanna see spacetime bend like all hell is leaning into it! 🫨
I wonder why boss never issued a ring modulation pedal thoroughout the 70's and 80's
Wish Boss would make a waza craft flanger. 😔
I would buy a bunch of boss mini pedals if announced. Woah that gr500 is crazy.
gears getting wild
Err I think Steve Vai is an Eventide H3000 SE man?🤔
Bruh where is a boss ph1R/ph2 waza phaser ffs?
Waiting on the waza dd3 long chip
Boss had a fuzz?!
@Boss I am still waiting for my IR2, which I bought the day it was announced.
wadup with the shaky camera on all the videos?

Too much coffee
Because it was shot on a phone lol.
Meth. It's notorious for causing shaky camera.
Give us back those dang Big Ass TU1000
This is all last year's tech?? The Fuzz has been unobtanium since 2022??! WTF??
I don't wanna hear about Boss unless it's coming straight from Johnny Demarco himself.
never broke a boss pedal. never.

Where are the legendary Epiphone guitars?..
I was hoping for something actually new from Boss. A shame. Well there's a day to go and there's still Roland.

What Boss stuff do you own now?
