Am I the only one who's Thai food fantasies just came true for? Omg it's like two of my favorite things at the same time fresh authentic Thai food and Mike's awesome passion for food all combined into one I kid you not I was maaaaddd hyped to watch this I can't wait to see more of this trip! I love it when Mike travels!
Hey Mike! My name is Boss, I was born and raised in Thailand, current doing my masters in Houston, Texas. Would love to show you around southern part of thailand sometimes! I'm sure you will love it!
Love Thailand. Was my favorite country that i had the privilege of visiting. Great food, friendly people, and low cost which allows you to experience more.
Welcome to my homeland country, Mike. If you have a chance you should go try the most famous Pad Thai restaurant named Pad-Thai Tipsamai, It open at night but I'm not sure about the right time, also that pork sausage you ate is from North-East Thailand and it fermented that why it taste a little bit sour, you have to eat it with fresh Thai chilly and ginger to cut the fat in it.
Great video. Despite what others have suggested about a collab with a certain other UA-cam sensation, in my mind, you are at your honest best when you try out food on your own. Stay independent!
I’m so surprised how much you can eat the Thai spicy food. I am so proud in my country and thank you for review our food. Taco that you ate, is Kha Nom Bueng as Thai dessert. 👍🏻
New subscriber here. I am a foodie and a frequent traveler to Thailand so I absolutely loved this video. I'll be heading there next week and am looking forward to enjoying some of the foods you highlighted in this video. BUT this week, I will be checking out some of your other videos. Glad I found you on UA-cam! Keep up the great work.
Those Prawns!!!!!! When you said that you want to move there I knew how you felt. It is the same thing I felt. My wife would not let us stay and divorce is so messy ya know.
Hope you're having a great time in Thailand! Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic trip with us. Loving the food and the joyous glee you have in trying new things. 🤗🤗😙
omg this makes me want to go back to Thailand 😔 also I've never found Mangosteen in Germany after I stopped living in Thailand. it's my favourite fruit too!
Finally, I have found a food traveler who acts normal and gives good descriptions of the food, the taste, and the experience. So glad I found you Dumpling!
Welcome to Thailand!! Hope you have a nice trip here. Tom Yum Kung looks nice. We have 2 kind of soup for Tom Yum Kung though, clear one and with coconut milk like you had in this video. Enjoy your trip 😁😁
Welcome to Thailand. I'm impressed how you managed to finish all of those food in a short period of time. I'm Thai living in Bangkok but have never been to Or Tor Kor Market. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Mike! If you're staying in Thailand for sometime I highly recommend you to go to Chiangmai province, it's like the capital of the northern region. There're many great food and I promise the local food here will blown you away. I and my father runs a restaurant here as well. I've subs your channel for a year or 2 now, love your vids. Anyway GLHF man. :)
Honestly, I've watched almost every single one of your videos over the past month. Like...I think you're my soulmate? Like we should get married and travel the world and comment hilariously on everything we eat together? You are amazing, I love watching your show so much!!
8.13 It's not liver. It's duck blood 9.03 It's not taro. It's a type of coconut meat that is fluffy and has a creamy texture and quite rare! 9.30 The pork sausage is not sour from vinegar. It's from fermentation with rice and garlic.
When you tasted the dessert, you said "It looks like a big piece of coconut". It is actually a big piece of milk coconut (not coconut milk). It is hard to find and expensive, even in Thailand. It is not the taro. ^_^
Hey mike quick tip for Thai food :) I've been there every year Most importantly get tom yum goong in hotpot style and without coconut milk :) you're welcome
Welcome to my country!! we have plenty of food that waiting for you to taste!! I recommend you, not just Tom Yam Kung or Kra pao (salted pork with chili and basil leaves)or Som tum(papaya salad). I recommend you to try these foods>> Rarp moo(Spicy minced pork), Nam tok (sliced grilled beef salad), Kao kluk ka pi(Shrimp paste fried rice), Kao larm(Sweet rice in bamboo), Pradook pad ped(Salted catfish with chili paste), Kanomgeen nam ngeaw (rice noodle with spicy pork sauce), Yam pradook fu(Spicy deep fried catfish salad), Tom kha kai(chicken in coconut milk and galangal), Nam prik pra too(Fried mackerel with shrimp paste sauce), for the desserts ; Foi thong(Sweet gold threads), Pui fai(Sweet cotton cake), Med khanoon (Sweet Jack fruit seed). You can download application thaicookingmanu, thai talking food, thai cooks, thai food recipes, etc. and choose one!
I live in Southern Thailand and you're absolutely right about Tom Yam Kung; you can get a good one anywhere but if you go to a specialist, it'll blow your tastebuds away. When you order it they'll ask if you want it 'nam com' (with coconut milk) or 'nam sai' (without coconut milk), I think nam com lifts the flavour and gives it a lovely, creamy texture. I follow your food vids and you are going to love Thai cuisine, happy holidays mate.
ZOD4 they are like a crunch fruit cut into squares and dipped in flour and boil it, the white water is coconut milk mixed with sugar it doesn't really taste good with ice but best cold
😭😭😭 omg, im so jealous right now. i love thai food so much and seeing you dipping the shrimp in that pepper got me salivating so bad.. Lol, please more videos in thai land.
HONG + JULIE Jackie Chan's genetically are more related to Lao, ( Gelao, Ai Lao, Rau, Liao ) a Tai-kadai speakers than Han Chinese. Han Chinese on the other hand genetically are more related to Tibetan and Burmese than southern Chinese. Chan, Chandee, Chanda, Chinda, Chansuda, Chandala, Chandaly, Chantha, Chanthara, Chanthathep, Chanthaburi, Chanthavong, Pumphuang Duangchan, Duangchan Mala, Vientiane, ( Vieng Chan )...is Lao names.
That's Isaan style sausage. It tastes a little sour because after you make it, you let it hang outside to cure for 1-3 days to ferment. Then you grill it. There's no vinegar. Good stuff and great video, Mike.
just a suggestion here: Mike, please name your episode more interesting and catching, you will get far more hits. For example, write Giant river prawn in the title instead of just street food tour of blah blah, key word is the king! I felt this episode is worthy so much more than the boring title, so good luck :)
Hello from Thailand!! Grad you came here! By the way,I have never seen anyone dipped stewed noodle into papaya salad before😂😂.That's pretty creative Mike😂😂. Have a great time!
You should come to the Philippines! I bought a a big box(approx 7 kilos) of rambutans for just about 3 bucks( 150 pesos) in Davao city, oh boy they were so fresh and juicy!

"If you're still on Taco Bell spice this would be too much for you" I feel personally attacked
Will you feel violated if I told you Taco Bell is not real Mexican food?

That sausage is sour because its fermented pork sausage 🤤
Keep up the amazing videos, and let the THAI FOOD ADVENTURE BEGIN !
The red rubies look like pomegranate seeds.
ZOD4
yes they do look like pomegranate, but they are not. :)
ZOD4 they are like a crunch fruit cut into squares and dipped in flour and boil it, the white water is coconut milk mixed with sugar it doesn't really taste good with ice but best cold
You are good to spot that. In Thai the desert is called 'Tub Tim Krob' meaning crunchy pomegranate. The look was intentional.
ZOD4 diced water chestnuts coated with cornstarch and red food coloring.
Pomogranite seeds arent that big and they looked more like cherries tbh
Dude... you're living the life I want to live. :) Thanks for letting me experience it vicariously. Keep eating. :D
Go to Cambodia and try good food there
