I think the armor piercing skill is better than inspiring simply because it will pierce body armor too. Pair that with how inaccurate the AI are at medium range and they can still kill despite sucking.

Dodge is very different from stealth though. Sure you have 3 detection, but without burglar perk deck and shinobi skills, you become a detriment to the team. Just make a second skill tree and switch to it when you enter a stealth lobby
Gonna take this opportunity to shill my Better Bots mod. It makes the Dallas bot yell for a medic bag, among other less significant changes. Also as far as why vanilla bots are like that, the bots have different "range brackets" for their accuracy/damage/etc. For assault rifles, they only have two, one for 3 meters away and one for every distance after that; evidentally Overkill thought the values were lerped between brackets but that's not the case. As a result, they fire at targets that are only a few meters away as though they were a hundred meters away, so very slowly and usually not in full auto. Snipers have a lot of power but with how the AI accuracy works, they almost never get headshots so it hardly matters. LMGs, on the other hand, have massive magazines with a lot of range brackets, so they can make short work of most targets and have decent CC abilities with the rest.
I love payday and it's sad to see it slowing down. I hope when Payday 3 comes out your friends like shadrock, soze, dakiller, and themightyfork will come back.
That start makes me wonder, what mods do you particullary hate? I can imagine stuff such as Carry Stacker being potentially unbalanced while other things like "Please, go there" are a godsend.
@@anon9469 meth helper is usually combined with fast cooking for those, who want to entirely defeat the purpose of leveling up or playing the game. if you're not using fast cook, you also don't need meth helper.
Sometimes I have to rely on AI as bag carries, and my goodness are they horrible... They are slow as snails with heavier bags, so catching up to you takes them forever. On larger maps you can't even have an NPC stay and protect a certain place or loot, because if you get too far, they'll ignore the fucking order and run up to you like idiots.
Is this certain that the AI really bad with snipers, especially with the Thanatos? Because when I played with the AI their sniper rifles could penetrate through enemy armor, without the skill they were really op with the Thanatos at least for me.They even killed a lot of special units, epecially bulldozers. Did the makers did something with that? I cannot find in the changelog of the latest update, that they did something changes with the AI system.
there is a mod for better bots and another mod for different weapons for AI in those mods the bots shoot better with the guns and they are not just for look now they work and you can make them use akimbos.

Suffix Prefix Weapon modifications don't affect bots, including magazine extensions and suppressors.
