But you already have nice arches ;( waaaaaaa
Wrong arch. There are four in each foot.
i get what you mean. his bare feet/soles are nice 😅
This has helped me remove hip and knee pain in under 12 hours and remove a clicking motion of the tibia that has been around for 6 years. I cannot thank you enough for this video.
WhiteesWorld I have the same issue!! Hate it. I hope I have the same success. Did it go away completely?
Maybe you need orthotics
@@happy_ej910 Fuck orthotics they make everything worse
watched this countless times over the last year or so, always refer back. Best tape I've found for feet is Rocktape H2O, as someone who gets rather wet during exercise, normal K-Tapes do not stick for long enough
Great video! I loved how thorough you were, and the jokes to keep it light. I’ll be back for other taping needs.
a simple solution for gluey scissors is acetone (nail polish remover)
great vid, I'll try to get a tape like that here in Europe :)
this guy likes to hear himself talk.
To pull up, better to start from under the feet then upwards. So that will pull up the arch better.
THIS IS A LIFE SAVER. I’m pigeon toed and have flat feet. It would cause pain in my hips and up and down my legs. Unbearable after a few hours on my feet. And I’m only 25 😭 BUT after doing this for a few days just like you showed I have reduced like all my pain! I guess it forces me to walk differently since my arches are being pulled. Even after 10 hours on my feet I wasn’t experiencing any of the pain I normally felt! Going to save me years of pain and probably a surgery or something. And all thanks to you and some Tape I got at Lidl!
I need to unflat my feet to be fit for Army officer
Bro.. physiotherapist k pas jao..
@@amitpathania1189 can you provide a link? need this
Hi! Im going to buy the tapes and try them out as you've shown. Wish me luck! And i'll be reporting back~~~~
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! Good Luck! In case you aren't aware, I also have videos testing various brands on the channel which may help choosing a brand! Thanks! Dew it!
I'm going to need all the guidance I can get. Thank you!
Thank you so much l can finally walk 😀😀😀
If your feet are flat, you don’t need arch support soles!
i always wondered about the efficiency of taping. i’ve got flat feet and starting to feel some pain at night when at rest. Thank you for sharing the tips and for having nice feet (would be hard to watch if not 😅).
Oh MY LAAAAWWWDDD! I thought I was the only one who talked to myself in that voice! ABSOLUTE GOLD. “Let mehhh pull up my pantsss” this video is so helpful for my skydiving and my clients! Thank you!
I'm brand spanking new. I was born with an extra bone in my left foot arch. Accessory navicular. My foot is in pain and slightly swollen. Got the KT tape and just taped up. I am hoping and praying this gives me some relif. Your video was excellent to follow and I must admit I laughed at some of your jokes. Peace!
I think I will include this in my routine also..... Wish I'd known about this when I worked security........ a lot of walking!
My arched are super flat, I had tendonitis and have developed plantar fasciitis. I have a lot of foot problems... I've been to a physiotherapist and he did NOTHING. I've tried the tennis ball trick and the frozen water bottle trick as well, now I'll try this one and hope it works!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi Moonlightdoggy, This one I find getting good feedback from those who try it, also may I suggest checking out my plantar fasciitis video. You may find some relief or explanation of the origins of the problem there. here's the link ua-cam.com/video/ijlrKXDDH80/v-deo.html
You have to work on foot strengthening. Search for videos on UA-cam
Can I ask how this worked out for you 3 years later? Or what ended up working for you? I seem to have very similar problems currently and I've been disappointed going to doctors over the years
Eric Pastrmac keep up the good work !!!! Suffered from flat foot all my life and just recently lost my job and with it went my medical insurance . Can't afford podiatrist care but with your illustrative videos don't need to visit podiatrist... 100 % footpain relieve.Thankyou very very much .
When needing to tape traverse and longitude , in what order should we implement them for more effectiveness or does it matter?
The only real answer ever is listen to your body, everyone is unique. So try both ways and whichever works best for you is the way to go. Just be aware that the body may adapt so you may need to take breaks from taping or edit one out from time to time. Thanks for your question!
Thanks so much for posting! The positive feedback really helps me understand the effects my videos are having with the viewers as well as supports the channel so that others may get the help they need. In a world where we have to pay for health care or quality care, it's nice to help each other out! Please share these videos with everyone! Thanks again!
Torn ligaments in my forefeet. Kind of appalled nobodies ever shown me this before. Custom orthotics work but some days tape and slippers are called for.
Thank you!
Thanks a lot..very nicely demonstrated 👍
Hello. I just ran across your taping video and was completely in a trance while watching it. I battled colon cancer for 2 years and was not looking forward to the possibilities of having surgery on my foot because of the arches. I've been down for so long I didn't want to go through everything else I was going to keep me down. I'm convinced and tomorrow I'm going to go buy the tape and I will keep you posted. There's nothing like being able to live again and do what I want to do at age 62. So thank you
Thanks for sharing Melodie! I love how you get back up and keep going, true grit. Life likes to beat you up good sometimes and sometimes the easy choice is to give up. But sometimes it starts with just asking a question, Is there more? and if there is , what is it?! You've found just one possible solution , here's another link to home therapy for fallen arches! ua-cam.com/video/rLycnew6qhE/v-deo.html Thanks and be your own inspiration, always!
Thanks. This is very useful. My foot is really bad and also everts.
Can you use the same concept on a child? My 5 year old has tons of issues stemming from flat feet but does ballet. I can get her arch support in daily shoes but not ballet slippers.
I would give it a try. Just remove if it starts to feel worse or is itchy. good luck!
I gave up ballet because my pronation was so bad my thighs rotated inward so had no turnout and standing on one leg caused my ankles to buckle every time :(
Thanks so many people suffering and many foot doctors not doing anything trying to give a cortisone shots selling foot insoles that do not work not all but I haven't found a good foot specialist yet I did do this a while ago and I forgot so I'm going to do it again also I'm going to take my neighbor's foot was a little older than me her foot doctor sucks you should see the insoles that she was sold ridiculous doesn't even have anything to support her Arch and I've been watching her walk like she has nails under her feet for almost 6 months
I have high arches, they can cause me so much pain sometimes. When they do cause me pain I squirm in bed all night😰 kicking and wiggling my feet 🦶🏻. I can’t wear flip flops and flat shoes. Sometimes it affects my workouts when I’m on a roll.
Just went to stock exchange and brought shares in tape market.
Hi There, First of all - great video! I also suffer from flat feet and the same time I like to run, dance and I hate the orthotic insoles as they are never comfortable and it hurts me even more when active. I am planning to try taping, but I couldn't find any comparison of the effect from taping vs. orthotics and which one is better. Could you comment on that? Also how taping effects the weakened mussels in the ankle? Can it help for permanent fix?
Hi Iva, thanks for the compliment and question. I've made a video that I hope will answer your questions with the link here: ua-cam.com/video/rLycnew6qhE/v-deo.html Welcome to the Northern Soul channel!
Bless your soul! I am going to this right now, my son really nead this.❤
Taping was good but the extra chatting wasnt helpful when you are trying to tape yourself at the same time.
How do you gauge the percentage of stretch? Visually?
Thank you so much for sharing your videos and knowledge been very helpful for my planter fasciatis
Lighter fluid to de-stick the scissors
Thanks for vid will do the arch support. What is the second one supporting?
Thank you for the comment! The first taping supports longitudinal arch, which is the arch you see on the inside of the foot. this is the common one associated with flat foot. The second tape is for transverse arch which is the arch created by the metatarsals and is perpendicular to the transverse arch. both are used together to create structure and suspension of your body weight when the body is erect. If you can visually see you have no arch on the inside of the foot then you should use the first taping, but also try the second one with the first to see if it helps you even more. With taping, there is a bit of experimenting, but trust what you body tells you. I hope that helps!
Foot exercises and tape? Bone and ligaments need to mold?
Thank you - very good and easy to do explanations - very inspirational. Please do more videos on taping.
This video could have bee 5 mins long....JEEEEZUUUUUSSSSS
lol.
كم هي المده التي اضع بها اللاصق واغيره
Can this help strengthen and repair a fallen transverse arch? Along with physio of course
Bunlar ağrı bandımı acaba
Thank you!!! I have been suffering for 2 years with arch problems in one foot. It caused me so much pain in my back and foot especially when working 10 hour days on my feet. Tried this taping technique. OMG...I feel like me again!! I can walk and work with no pain. Anywhere. You have saved my life.
Thanks! That's all kinds of awesome!
That's an awesome testimony
Thanks for posting the video. The tips for taping the foot have been really helpful. I have the same problem in my right foot like you have in yours. I did a lot of physical therapy for my foot. Some of the exercise had helped. But I never got the response I got with taping my foot.
What is the coupon code?
WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO BUY TAPE TO USE ON MY PES PLANOVALGUS?
I have pain and swelling over the foot flexor tendons 2-4, so I’m thinking my transverse arch is angry. I recently got a new dog and have been running a lot in field, through snow, trails, roads, etc with my running shoes so my feet take a beating. Thanks so much for this video. Good clear instructions and I hope I can prevent further injury
thanks man! really helped. u r hero
thanks so much for this tutorial! the way that you explained everything for people new to strapping was really helpful!
Excellent- thank you!
Hi… I’m looking for a video on how to tape my feet for Plantar Fibrosis. I’ve had one surgery, but due to medication, this has caused the fibrosis. Suggestions for tapping my feet. Much Appreciated..
Hi, I have PF in my left and flat feet. A few months ago I got custom orthotics for the flat feet. Question: can I / should I combine this flat foot taping and the PF taping as well as wear the custom orthotics? Thanks.
Hi Christine! I hope you enjoyed the video. Personally I would use the taping with orthotics, as I usually treat the tape the same as if it's not really there. You'll know if it's not appropriate if it becomes uncomfortable or painful. The bottom line is always trust the body telling you. Thanks!
I tried Mueller kinesiology tape and got an awful rash from it and it's still bad a week later but will try this again with a different brand. Lifelong (60 yrs) flat foot problems and more recent plantar fasciitis developed.
How much plantar flexion can you achieve with the taping like you did on your right foot? Would this cause any irritation for a ballet dancer who has to point her foot a lot in one class?
Thank you for the question. You can achieve full plantar flexion with this tape, or kinesio taping in general. The point of it is to still have mobility. Irritation is always a concern with taping generally speaking. I would try the taping as is for class and see how it goes. You can adjust the tape stretch to your needs from 25%-75%. In this case you'll want to start at the more aggressive stretch 75% and back off the 50% if needed, and even down to 20% as it still works at this level. You will just get less arch support. so it's a trade off of comfort / support. So try it, and if it feels itchy or hurts more with the aggressive tape stretch , stop and take the tape off, do not retape for a few days 2-3, then reapply with less stretch and try again. You'll find your perfect balance for you. Be aware different brands stretch differently. check out my tape comparison videos (2) since this may also help you choose the right tape for you! Good luck and keep dancing!
Thanks for your reply! It is actually for a student of mine. I will consider having her look into this if I don't see an improvement in her stance.
Thank you for showing this :)
I have had reunions on both feet from wearing fashionably wrong shoes as a teen. The big toe has turned inward, causing a Hammertoe on 2d toe. Had surgery on right foot abt 10 yrs ago, and wasn't informed of how long & painful recovery was; 3 months for me. A few months ago, the left foot began to hurt under the 2d toe when I arose each morning. Couldn't get a dr appt until hammertoe began showing. Was hoping to get a shot (like trigger fingers) to fix, but was told not effective with plantar tear. Instead was given orthotics recommendations with a splint. It got worse, infected and treated with ice & foot elevations over the holidays. Then I ran across your video today! Next appt is less than a week away, and I know Dr will want to do surgery! I cannot see me with 3 months down-time at age 76, so II am going out to find mobility tape, etc and use with larger shoes prescribed to see if it can be avoided. Thanks so much for your inspiration!! Will get back to let you know. Maybe order more tape for arthritic fingers.
If i have both Morton`s neuroma and fallen transverse arch, which taping should i use? Thank`s for your videos!!
Insoles are stupid if you use them you will loose every last bit of arch you have you need to build up foot muscle and walk. bearfoot if you want to get it back
Dishwashing liquid or hand soap will get rid of the glue...or a oxygen acetylene flame at 3000'C will not only rid you of the glue it will also sterilize the scissors...well at least what's left of em!. 😁
I found the Theraband too thin and don’t feel the pull that well, the tape you’re using looks a look thicker, what brand is it?
Thanks for your videos, they’re great!
Very helpful video!! Thank you for sharing this technique
Wow, Thank you so much! My foot pain is gone! I never thought I would be able to say that! I can’t thank u enuf for the video!😁
I fee like this(taping) is the reason why im experiencing hip pain rn😐😶
Who doesn’t love rubbing stuff???
So i actually ordered a smaller one lol but still works pretty well! Feels tight tnx man!!!
Thanks for making this video.... how long should these strips be made?
👍Tape itch is commonly from shirring force on skin. Like he said, be careful to not stretch the ends. Applying tincture of benzoin as a skin prep prior to taping is also very protective and increases duration of wear time
How do you know it is transverse arch or longitudinal arch?
Never pull tape tight across the top of the foot you can crush tendons
You are restricting the tarsal tunnel...is there a way to do it with out doing that?
Really good, thank you. Your accent is very strange though - mostly Irish but sometimes I swear you turned American, then Australian, and then even a spot of New Zealander! Maybe I’m going mad....
Emma Horton that sounds about it
Would this help strengthen your arch over time?
Acetone like nail polish remover
Is shag carpet coming back?
Can both of those be done on the same foot?
Please can someone tell me the name of that tape
Question: I suffer from multiple of these issue and wonder if I can combine the different taping methods ... I am flat foot, have bunions and a crooked big toe I see you made three different videos but can I combine them to fix my whole foot at once?
you can combine the taping within reason. If you have too many layers of tape, the top layers may not be effective or hinder the base layers. I usually get creative in blending tapes, by shortening tapes or using one tape in the place of two to make a continuous piece altering stretch as needed. It takes an understanding of how the tape works, what it's doing and biomechanical as well as anatomical understanding of the body being taped. You can find an example of a combined tape as I treat planter fasciitis with a custom taping that involves a few typical problem areas that cause it. check out that video as it may give you and idea.
Will this help with foot drop?
What brand of tape are you using and where can I buy it?
Whats this tape called ? Where can i find it ?
unfortunately mine are sooo bad that this won't help. :/
Mine are completely on the floor and the whole inside of my foot has collapsed. The pain goes right the way up my body to my mid back. I'll give it a try. It WILL NOT fix it without surgery but it will probably be a help
This is so useful - thank you! :)
Can I combine kinesiology taping with compression socks?
In this case of flat foot support tape, I'd say yes
Hindi me bolie tabhi to samajh me aaega
oil removes glue
Best kinesio tape video for arches support.
Thanks for your comment!
His pinky toe looks like not his. Or an udon noodle on a carpet
That is oddly specific
Can you use this same tape for knee pain
yes
My feet have problem, it too curve and cause high heel pain. How can I make my feet to turn flat?
Thanks for your question. Did you get your high foot arch diagnosed for the cause? Also, just one foot or both?
Also if you find your ankles unstable and you twist them, hurt them or generally have an issue walking or standing with stability, try the ankle support taping on my channel.
Looks like the general consensus is that for too much foot arch, it's about supporting the arch, and cushioning the ball of the foot and the heel. Other than that I'm not sure what you can do about it. There are shoe inserts for this condition as well as stick on arch ramps, that stick directly onto your arch for support. Or maybe just wear crappy shoes like everyone else that loses their arches!
💕💕💕
Ye arch Kaha milega
I guess this will permanently cure the problem with your foot , sort of like a cast for a broken bone. or is this a temporary fix.
eogg25 you have to train your muscles in the feet to have an arch by yourself, so this is just temporary
I have sweaty feet so what brand of tape do you recommend that has good water resistance?
The stickiest tape I know of is RockTape H2O. It's designed for wet/sweaty use. Extra sticky adhesive. Here's a link to my tape testing of different brands ua-cam.com/video/uk3sTwtz3z0/v-deo.html
Northern Soul Thanks a ton. I will try that product.
Apply tincture of benzoin prior to taping
Arch support is for people with arches! Get it arch support! If you have flat feet, no arches, there’s nothing to support. You have no arch. You don’t need arch support da!!!😂
