The frustrating thing about ingrown hairs (and I guess hair splinters; did not know that was a thing) is that they're usually too tough for the body to break down completely, but not tough enough to come out in one piece if you can grab the end with tweezers. Being embedded under the skin makes the hair soft and brittle.
Hair splinters in my experience is easy go pull out if it's the first day or two you have it. Then again I have never ever known hair splinters were a real thing until my current partner. My hair is too fine and weak to penetrate skin even in short segments, and my three exes had too fine hair for that too. Ingrown hair on the other hand is an annoying constant of life.
So oddly enough, my wife had an ingrown hair in her foot in about the same spot. She could barely even walk, one night she asked me to look at it, and with tweezers and a pair of toenail clippers, we got it out. Wild how a small hair like that could be almost debilitating, but the body works in weird ways.

I was a cosmetologist for a few years and can tell you it only takes one tiny "hair splinter " as we call them, to cause HORRIBLE pain! You'd never think something so tiny could do that right...They're so hard to fin,d, then to get it out yourself. I always had my daughter get it for me.
I’ve had hair splinters twice, both times in my feet, and they hurt!! First time around was a piece of dog hair in my big toe. I couldn’t believe how painful it was. Luckily the hair pieces were long enough for me to pull out both times! My older sister is a hair stylist, and she’s had hair splinters countless times.
I get get them from my black lab/pit mix. Idky but they are always very, very deep. They hurt like hell when you walk around. I wonder if different breeds cause more pain?
I remember my dad coming to me asking if I could look at his foot cus he had a clear plastic splinter in there that had broken off. Took about an hour with a needle and clippers and tweezers slowly making a little crater before I found that thing. He would come to me for that kind of thing because I was more patient then anyone and could do it without causing much discomfort. Also, there's that obsessive satisfaction about splinters that make them somewhat enjoyable 😏
We had this one dog that had course hair and would get into my feet like this. My feet are really sensitive and it drove me nuts. It never failed to surprise me, how much discomfort that one little hair could cause. I've had large slivers that were not nearly as painful or uncomfortable.
I used to get hair splinters from my bulldog and my roommate’s pittie. No matter how much we cleaned the floors, I would always find one rogue hair to step on!
Wow, it’s always nice to be reminded no matter how big we may seem, the reality is we’re all so weak. If something like a 1 inch hair can hinder us from walking, you can only imagine what bigger things can do.
I’m a hairdresser so this is my life. I’ve had to do minor surgery on my feet and hands to get hairs out. You’d be shocked by where else we have had to get them out of.
I've have my dog's fur get stuck in my skin, although it's luckily long enough that I can always pull it out by hand. It's amazing how sharp things we would usually see as soft and flexible can be if you hit them at the wrong angle.
I’ve actually had a hair splinter on my foot on 2 separate occasions. 😳 and I never knew “hair splinters” were even a thing until I saw and removed the “splinter” in my big toe… It stung me for a whole day outside before I finally checked it out when I got home and removed it. 😅
I'm a picker so I would have dug that piece of hair out myself. 😁

I just got a hair splinter in my big toe the other day. Had no idea why my toe hurt every time I took a step. Finally looked closer and saw a piece of hair sticking out. I had no idea hair could pierce through skin. Luckily I was able to pull it out with tweezers... So happy her friend recommended you and you were able to get that out!
Same thing happened to me I thought it was an ingrown toenails. Cause it hurt so I took my sock off. And right foot big toe had a hair sticking out! It hurt when I pulled it out
I was a cosmetologist for a few years and can tell you it only takes one tiny "hair splinter " as we call them, to cause HORRIBLE pain! You'd never think something so tiny could do that right...They're so hard to fin,d, then to get it out yourself. I always had my daughter get it for me.
I learn something new every time I watch you. Wow.
I've had hair splinters in the same place. Luckily they were longer so I could tweeze them out. Such a weird feeling.
And you have a bicykle on your nose.
How did you know that’s what it was? Does it hurt? It looks so small!
I love his manner. Very patient and kind.
I get hair splinters from my black labrador and they HURT
We have a yellow lab and same!
White American Bulldog so stupidly hard to see 😳
Animal hair hurts, Yes. Every time I get a sharp pain in my sole, I know it's someone's fur or hair!
I get get them from my black lab/pit mix. Idky but they are always very, very deep. They hurt like hell when you walk around. I wonder if different breeds cause more pain?
I didn’t know they were a thing and then I had 3 in a week! They sting and itch!!!
ToeBro-“It’s not always about the size 🤷🏽♂️”
Me-that’s what toe said 😂😂
Congratulations to the Doctor. He got the hair out without leaving an open wound. An excellent job.
My sister cut my hair a few weeks ago and I was cleaning up when my foot started itching. Yup. A couple hair splinters right in the arch of my foot.
That's so satisfying to watch, parang masakit naman yan!!
We had this one dog that had course hair and would get into my feet like this. My feet are really sensitive and it drove me nuts. It never failed to surprise me, how
much discomfort that one little hair could cause. I've had large slivers that were not nearly as painful or uncomfortable.
Yep, I got a dog hair stuck in my foot. I don't go barefoot anymore.
I used to get hair splinters from my bulldog and my roommate’s pittie. No matter how much we cleaned the floors, I would always find one rogue hair to step on!
You have golden hands and I so enjoy watching how skillful and precise you are. I certainly admire
Your techniques and lovely personality.
That's a hair sliver! I've had one before and it felt like glass in my foot it was so sharp!
This is going to be awesome I stopped watching Phineas and Ferb for this
Phineas and Ferb I’m dead 😂😂
It so amazing how the body will do whatever it has to do to protect itself !!!
Jada Kennedy fans/viewers:"uuuh he is going fishing"
YESSSSS!!!!!
We here!!!
I'vd had one of these from my dogs! It went in about a half inch, and looked just like a little speck. Ouch!
I'm guessing just about everywhere you can get a regular splinter or tick.
*shudders*
I've have my dog's fur get stuck in my skin, although it's luckily long enough that I can always pull it out by hand. It's amazing how sharp things we would usually see as soft and flexible can be if you hit them at the wrong angle.
I like it Toe Bro, that you called her “ate” . Maraming Salamat po …
I’ve actually had a hair splinter on my foot on 2 separate occasions. 😳 and I never knew “hair splinters” were even a thing until I saw and removed the “splinter” in my big toe…
It stung me for a whole day outside before I finally checked it out when I got home and removed it. 😅
