- In this video we will be watching the documentary series "Mayday in the Making" by The Warning. This was something we've been waiting to react to for a while now.

Quick story. The girls spent years unable to get a recording contract because every offer they got came with the stipulation that they drop the hard rock and become a pop band which they refused to do. Rudy identified Lava Records as the best choice because it has a history of signing young bands without changing their sound. He spent months scheming a plan to get Devon O'Connor's attention which he eventually pulled off. Devon liked what she heard and arranged to have Jason Flom attend one of the gigs they played at the Mercury Lounge in NYC. After the show, Jason invited them to come to his office the next day to discuss a record deal. As always, Rudy is The Man, The Myth, The Legend and a hell of a nice guy.

Cheers Touchy! I found out about The Warning during the first couple weeks of the pandemic lockdown while watching Led Zeppelin reactions on UA-cam, then I was curious to see what other rock legends were available to watch from my early years of going to rock concerts - Kiss, Boston, Bad Company, The Pretenders, The Who, etc. Then a UA-cam recommendation came up for 2017 Tedx performance of The Warning. I was hooked. Now I have watched just about everything I could about them and I too hope to have bragging rights as I will be seeing them live in Monterey, CA in October. They are indeed soon going to be huge. Thanks for continuing to react to my favorite band.🤘

I had a very similar situation Tom. I was going through a bunch of Iron Maiden reactions. I often saw The Warning videos and reactions appear on my UA-cam. I finally decided to see why they were so recommended. I watched the "Choke" official video. They were NOT a pop group. I watched the 2014 Enter Sandman cover. Ale was soooo adorable. I've been hooked ever since. I watched all of their videos, interviews (well English ones at least), and watched a bunch of reactor videos... including Touchy Reacts. I was a little disappointed with his Ted-x review but gave him another chance. Touchy has completely flipped in his opinion!!

David Bendeth is on the Song "Evolve" at the end of the song when they Sing "Is It Wrong Or Right" if you listen Closely you can hear David's Raspy Voice.
Also in 2015 when they appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show and Her and Target gave them $10,000 each to attend the Berklee Collage of Music in Boston, and The Company that Makes the Video Game Rock Band have their HQ in Boston and they Invited The Warning to take a Tour of the Company and at the end of the Tour the Girls were Taken to a Room where they had the Game Set Up and they Told the Girl that that was the New Rock Band IV and they would be the First Ones in the World To Play The Game, and Dany Pau, and Ale play a Few Songs then they told them they wanted to show them a New Song in the game from a New Rock Band and the song they showed them was their Song "Free Falling" it's in the Game, Later On you Could Download "Survive" to the Game. When The Warning Left They gave Them the Video Game Rock Band IV and a Guitar that Looks Like a Real Guitar but it's for the Game and Everyone in the Company Signed it.

It was great to see this all again Touchy! I've been following them for seven years now, watching their progress in this journey. I just knew from the beginning that they had that special something, if they just stuck to it, they could make it big some day. They could play their instruments unbelievably well, but the key was their ability to write really good songs, I think credit should also be given to their early instructors who challenged them write those very first songs that made up Escape The Mind. I'm so glad that I finally got to see them live up here in Canada this past summer, two nights in a row, up close and personal, before the inevitable happens... It Was Somewhat Surreal To Say The Least!!!

Their version of Enter Sandman is used at the end of Episode 8 of the new Netflix series The Imperfects. So, yeah, they are getting exposure in other media.

Jennifer Batten is the female guitarist you were thinking of. She played for Michael Jackson mainly because she was able to play like Eddie Van Halen. Her video of Flight of the Bumble Bee on guitar is amazing.
They do use back tracking live. But they played all that pre-recorded stuff themself.

As you mentioned the Rockband makers to maybe produce a movie of The Warning, perhaps you are interested in a video here on YT of the girls visiting the Rockband company (in New Jersey I think). I actually have never played Rock Band but I did play Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero Metallica a lot when I was younger, I'm 31 now btw. I think you're right about the first picture of them when they were younger being Pau cuz of her facial features. I'm not sure what their dad, Luis, did before they became a band but their mom, Mony, was a dentist.
I loved playing those games back in the day. They were great group fun.
Luis was an engineer (a civil engineer, I believe). He had also previously owned a recording studio, but apparently that was much earlier.
I love QOTMS but I must agree with them, ERROR!!!!
QOTMS was great too.
Talking about their creative process, somewhere I heard that, indeed it is Pau who usually brings the first draft for their new songs, but that Ale´s and Dany´s first mission was to "kill the ballad" because almost everything comes in that form.
Thankfully some of those have survived. Their world would be different without Black Holes, 23, Revenant, and a few others.
I love those songs.
I agree I am so glad I saw them in Pittsburgh in small venue. Then saw them open up for Halestorm. I do wish them all the luck.

On the studio dry erase board, "O/D" stood for "OVERDUB" (guitar) parts, which are additional parts underlying and supporting the main guitar rhythms.

Their Crowdcast live streams are amazing with a couple private concerts and some great moments with their parents and Rudy. There are also many vlogs that are not available to the public that really showcase their personalities and Ale talks!!!!! There is a vlog series on their youtube channel that focuses on each song from Queen of the Murder Scene which detail their writing and recording process for the album... really cool, and Ale talks in them!!!!

I started following this girls since they came out with the Metallica video. It was funny and refreshing seeing them do the TED talks!! I have seen the grow up to be a power house of rock!! Being a musician myself I can tell you they are the real deal!!

David Bendeth said in a recent Facebook live that women are starting to rise up in rock music, not just cuz of their talent but cuz they are often outworking the men. I know that cuz of bands like The Warning and Lovebites, every time I find out about an all female band now, I just assume they are going to be great. Plush is another great one too.

LOL, how do you even qualify that? Idk, feels like an unnecessary and misguided thing to say. Let's just be glad about rock becoming more diverse in all aspects; no need to put anyone down. At the end of the day, there are great male and females in rock just like there are mediocre/bad ones; pointing out gender feels irrelevant.
They're into K-Pop and J-Rock, too? Can you imagine a tour or a festival where they appear together with Band-Maid? That would be freaking AMAZING!

@@TouchyReactions OMG! You are missing out! 5 amazing women who are all phenomenal talents. Also, an actual organic band that was created by the members out of a love for the music, not as part of some studio "concept" as is so typical in Japan and Korea. They are an "impossibly hard rocking" band. If you like Pau on drums, you will love their drummer, Akane (nicknamed "the gorilla")
I'm sure I will get to them. They are on my list.
They do have occasional backing track for different songs that Pau controls. However they play everything on the backing track as well.
They sound amazing live.

They do use click tracks when playing live, they have too, there is piano, rhythm guitar ect that they as a 3 peice can't do live.
Pau confirmed this to me via a live chat a while back, she also said that often the click track stops working and they do have the ability to carry on as if nothing has happened.
There are for sure the best young all female band out there at this moment in time.

Error is a major step forward for the band. I stop short of calling it their best album. There are works of sheer genius on it, but unlike their previous two albums, there are several songs I skip past. All in all, it is a tremendous work of art, that only DPA are capable of producing. 🤘🏻🤟🏻

well if you think about they are already huge they opened for the foo fighters, def leopard, they pretty reckless and they are currently on tour right now with Lzzy Hale and Halestorm and they were personally chosen by Metallica to sing Enter Sandman on the Blacklist Album and they are still going to get bigger then that which is hard to believe please let me know what you think

You will not find that interview. Luis and Monica are not interested in anything other than supporting their daughters. They refuse to make any of this about themselves. DPA are their entire focus.
If you look hard enough, you will find an interview with Luis in written form, but it is about his love of collectables and comics. The interview was done by an OG patron, who is in the collectables world. Luis was very willing to talk about his passions. I think it very admirable to see how humble both parents are. They are adamant that all this success is due to their daughters.
That family seems so strong.

It is October 12, 2023. They played Argentina again last night & it was … AMAZING! The Argentina fans are wicked good. We’re talking full-on mosh pit, singing every song, inflatable donuts amazing. I’m dreaming of the day The Warning sells-out River Plate & then makes a movie about it.
I just got done watching footage from that show. Amazing.

I don't like David pushing them directions they dont want to go. They were fine without him. The goal shouldn't be to be the biggest band in the world, it should be creating music that you think is special and sharing it with the world.
