HP Laptop is not turning on.
I'm getting three long beeps and two short beeps on capslock keyboard.
HP Website indicates this could be memory issue.
You may try replacement the RAM / memory to see if you are able to get display back on the screen.
Issue: No Display
3 long beeps 2 short beeps
3 long flashes 2 short flashes Capslock light

Had the same prob 3 long and 2 short blinks. My pc fan was blowing hot air, I just kept it in that situation for several mins.
Then turned it off and kept it idle for few hrs. After that turned it on, it responded and asked for recovery key, somehow managed to find it and now my laptop is live again. No opening the case, no ram removal, no battery removal it just cured itself.
Pls what recovery key did u input can it work for all hp laptops

Had the same problem and with the help of this video finally realised that one of my two ram sticks was dead. I removed it and it seems to boot up now. Thanks!

@@einarsobrumanis4549 just do one thing, either but some screw drivers for your laptop, open the backpanel by watching some Indian guy's yt channel. And just clean it from inside remove ram and battery, clean it and put it back! It fixed mine. This is just because of some dust coating because of moisture on the inside.
A long time ago they were beeps, now... flashes of light.
I just moved the same ram on the other slot and it worked! Thanks man!

Thank you! I took the Ram out and clean the Ram's terminals with a micro cloth that would be used to clean eye glasses. I went over the terminals three times on both sides, reinstalled it, and it worked.

Thank you. My memory was bad. Replacing the memory fixed the issue with the beeping. This happened after a Bios update.

I've opened my PC computer and disconnected my RAMs and cleaned their slots with air then reconnected them. It's working nicely. Thank you so much UberGeeks for this amazing guide. Blesses from 2022's last few days

I have "I bought a new screen, the one I had was damaged, I replaced it, the memories are fine it stays black, but if I connect via HDMI it gives normal video if I disconnect I only have a black screen.

Had two sticks of Ram. One looked to have a sticker defect- 3 of the same sticker in one spot, but off center from one another. I took the stickers off, popped both RAM back in, and it worked! Took 10 minutes and was free. Thank you for this video!

I've recently bought new RAM sticks for my pc, but when i try to put them in, i have to manually click them unlike the original ones i've always used. Now when i try to use any of them, neither works no matter what, i tried cleaning up both ram sticks and ram slots, yet still the same problem. Any tips or ideas how to deal with that?

I don't know if you'll see this. My 8GB RAM came installed in the secondary slot. After a while, any slight bang on the back cover made the laptop freeze until I force shutdown and reboot. I switched it to the primary slot and the issue was fixed. Today, the laptop just turned on the keyboard backlight for 2 seconds then turned off, repeatedly. No beeping. I tried 2 4GB RAM sticks I had, which instead caused beeping, that is the 5 beeps. Now my question is, what could be the issue? Hoping for a reply.

I got OMEN 15 and get same 3 long flash 2 short flash
What do I do is switch place my 2 Ram
So 1st ram goes 2nd slot and 2nd ram to 1st slot
And it work flawlessly
moved the ram to slot 2 and it booted, many thanks
replacing the Memory fixed it for me.

In my case, i didn't put in new ram in other slot all the way in, so all i had to do was pop it out and the place it back in all the way in
you can tell if ram isn't set properly if prongs aren't parallel to body of ram, also make sure none of the contacts are dirty

Does this work for if i spilled a few drops of water on it
Hp pavillion 15 aw054sa. The kids pushed the screen back to far, and the hinges cracked the corner plastics now, if the screen is in the correct position the laptop will run, but if you move ore touch the laptop it will Instantly turn off.
What should i be looking for once i open it up, and what cpuld be damaged?
Your hinge obviously.Maybe that crack are interfering with your laptop display cable.

Hello ! I just had 2 times this problem in the few last days... and I tried to open my "tower" PC and pulled each RAM one after the other ; on the 3rd it stopped beeping so I thought to test if it was the ram on it or the slot that was the problem.. he stopped beeping after I changed the ram on it. So I put all the other ones back. And it stopped beeping, I don't know why exactly but seems like a RAM didn't like to be on one of the slots ?
I would appreciate your help really.. because my computer is kind of my life (work, etc) 🥲
Do you think still one of them is dead ? Should I have done more tests for each ram ? But I don't really know exactly how.. only by shutting down the PC and starting it again to see if it beeps...
