  • In this report, we analyze how Russia is preparing for a potential drop in oil prices as Saudi Arabia prepares to increase production. With oil exports being a cornerstone of Russia's war budget, any price fall could destabilize their economic plans for 2025. Analysts predict oil prices may fall below Russia's forecasted $70 per barrel, with global market trends signaling a challenging future for Moscow.

Three weeks ago I was surprised when I went into fill my car up with gas … one dollar drop in the price of premium gas in less than a week. Currently those prices remain relatively stable when I say that I mean they’re not going up. They’re actually going down so I’m saving even more.

Australia has plenty of oil and gas too, but our corrupt politicions still import oil because of the huge revenue it gets from importing fuel from Singapore.

There's a reason the US allied it's self with Saudi Arabia and it has nothing to with having similar goals or interests. It's strictly a professional alliance. Russia started a trade war with Saudi Arabia and they're going to find out why that was a bad call.

Saudia Arabia agreed to stop oil production when putin went there, guess they just can't do it anymore. SA also attends BRICs meetings and has an active invitation to join even though they have not so far.

I wish it was true that the Saudis were increasing production as an abandonment of a high oil price, but I don't think so. I think that Iranian oil will soon be offline and that the Saudis are beating out the other OPEC countries to fill that gap. Oil prices may stay about the same as before after the removal of Iranian oil, but the Saudis will have a larger share of the overall market.

Maybe an issue in Ukraine, due to Russian terrorism, but if you drive less than 30km/day, plugin hybrids or EVs are a great choice. I just don't remember when I filled the gas tank last time.

This doesn't make sense since Iran is about to see their oil production disrupted due to the conflict with Israel, meaning if Israel is going to blow oil pits the price will rise quickly.

Due to sanctions Iran is not nearly as big of a producer or seller as Saudi Arabia.
Iran Crude Oil: Production was reported at 3,271.000 Barrel/Day th in Jul 2024
Saudi Arabia Crude Oil: Production was reported at 9,015.000 Barrel/Day th in Jul 2024
This is what Saudi Arabia produced when it was playing the OPEC game of keep prices high. Also remember Iran is the enemy of Saudi Arabia. Iran has been nearly outputting it's maximum production, Saudi Arabia can ramp up production drastically. Iran can't get modern oil extraction or refinery technology from the free world like Russia was prior to the war, Saudi Arabia can and since we're not producing equipment for Russia Saudi Arabia can easily purchase the spare capacity, expertise, etc needed if needed to help ramp up production.

Russia lost WWI, the Russo-Japanese War, Afghanistan War, and it only survived WWII because of American lend lease aid.
Sure after receiving lend lease aid from the US, while we were busy helping France, the UK, etc rebuild Russia took advantage of countries torn by war and invaded much of Europe. That's hardly an accomplishment. It'd like beating up a man who's bed ridden in a hospital. Remember we're talking about a country infamous for incompetence and for it's total reliance of shooting it's own men in the back who refuse to press forward in meat wave attacks. That's how they fought WWI, WWII, and the war in Ukraine. Remember Russia lost WWI, and only survived WWII because of American aid.
Sure don't underestimate Russia, but don't over estimate them either. We're talking about a country that has consistently misrepresented every weapon system they produce and export as being better then it really is. Ukraine is being backed by the Free World, meaning they're getting American, French, German, Korean, and more equipment; NATO alliance members prefer to under-represent what we can do. The difference between Russia and the Free World is they bluff to avoid a war, we bluff so if a war breaks out we catch the enemy off guard.
