I rewatched the Walking on Broken Glass video a couple weeks ago, and it hit me that the 2 main actors there were John Malkovich and Hugh Laurie (Dr. House). Such a great song-Annie’s vocals are breathtaking!

For this song is about a breaking down of a dysfunctional relationship where she isn't acknowledged, honored and respected for who she is as a person and her voice is silenced and she is put down and belittled. And her feelings are not acknowledged, honored and respected. So she trying to tell her partner how she feels and it looks like she is about to break up with him because this boat is sinking. I can relate to the lyrics of this song to my relationships with my family especially my father. Good reaction.
