On June this year I survived a malfunction of a rt heart cath. The balloon ruptured the pulmonary artery and I hemorrhaged into my lungs. My cardiac team was able to rush me back to the cath lab to patch the hole and save my life. I was awake for this until a newIV was placed to sedate me and a breathing tube was placed. I can’t get this out of my mind and am going to see a therapist to help me deal with the memory. This is a very rare complication and usually has a 78% mortality rate.
