Aria goes from I am Omega, to We are Omega! Now that's character growth right there. I went renegade during this dlc, pulled the trigger, and got a smooch from her at the end of it. Worth it!
I love the "regret of what his ancestors did" that you can hear in Victus's voice throughout this. Likely didn't even know about the bomb until he became Primarch, and the first thing he does is assign the one person he knows he can trust to follow his order without question (when it comes to this xenoracist issue) - his son. And yet, he doesn't become an apologist when admitting that things have changed. You can tell that if he'd become Primarch during peace, he still would have made these efforts (such as agreeing to end the Genophage), albeit likely at not such a fast pace.
Great job with the O-meg-a DLC!! (I spelled phonetically, you keep saying O-mee-ga noooooo ) Seriously that is a difficult DLC, in particular the end boss fight so you were awesome. I felt your pain when the game glitched on you so you could not talk to Aria and move to next phase ...20 minutes lost forever! Drop a bomb on that bug! And that Liara scene always chokes me up. Bioware pure magic there
That scene with Liara... I love her, but when the music started playing I was like: no, no, no, Liara, I love you as FRIEND don't make me break your heart 😂😂😂 All the interactions with her seem so romantic... I think the devs expected everyone to want to romance her 😅 I love Omega and I love Aria, but it was hard for me to finish the DLC... I KNOW that ME is a shootee, but I felt there wasn't much more to it 😮💨 I already said this, but I love the whole Tuchanka arc of the game ❤ And your comment about Nyreen and Victus' deads... That's the thing with ME3, it makes you feel like "well, yeah, we are at war after all", specially in the banter from random people around the citadel and other places... it's a bit sad 😢 Great episode as always, basic! Can't wait for the next one! ❤
Oh!!! One other thing!! There is a sniper rifle scope mod you can add that sees through all the Cerberus smoke and does NOT add extra weight. The extra weight scope actually sees through walls as well as the smoke. The lighter scope just sees through smoke
Fun fact about those Cannibals: They're called that because they can "consume" their fallen brethren to enhance their own armor (which is what makes them glow red instead of blue) 😬 They do need to kneel down at an actual Cannibal corpse to get that armor buff though, so you can take advantage of that 🙂
38:10 istg every time I hear this music I gain the tachycardia buff. Sometimes it plays when your having a great time, other times a horrible moment, and you sometimes don’t know which ones coming 😭😭
You are the first player that I've seen that finished the Omega DLC before heading to Eden Prime and Tuchanka. I like the direction, complete gut feeling. I thought you were going to kill Gen. Petrovsky, but good that you didn't he is worth a few War Asset points, plus he isn't the typical Cerberus company guy, he has a code, and it those include mercy to his enemies. The Turian platoon missions are fast action and really those showcase the utter disregard that the other races have against the Krogan, even though it is necessary to remember that the genophage was the only way they stopped the Krogan. I hope you read the comics and novels of Mass Effect, it covers so much lore and background. Another BasicwitGirl play through!!!!
I highly recommend that you check out the bonus powers in the med bay, you've already learned a few and you can choose one to add to your abilities. The big biotic explosion (Flare) that Aria was using is one you learned when you finished Omega.
Oh good, I'm glad you did the bomb mission right after the turian platoon. Once you rescue the platoon, a timer starts: you have a certain amount of missions (I think 3?) before the bomb goes off on its own and kills a lot of krogan. The game doesn't really do a good job at letting you know that's the case: they make it seem like everything is a priority, so it's a shock when something actually is (like the turian bomb or rescuing the crew in me2.) The turian platoon mission itself will hold for awhile though. Personally, I like to save it until the Virmire Survivor and Tali are back. If you bring the VS to the bomb mission, they'll say it reminds them of Virmire and Ash/Kaidan 😭 They'll also have a nice convo with Tali back on the Normandy, but I believe you have to immediately go to Engineering first to hear it. Speaking of which: when you get Kaidan back, please go talk to him first before doing anything else on the Normandy. There's a conversation with him that won't trigger if you talk to anyone or do anything else first. I missed it my first playthrough. I know you don't want spoilers, but the fact that it can be missed so easily is stupid imo and it's a great conversation.
Never heard of that outcome. Seems really unlikely as I'm sure the vast majority of players would do everything on Tchunka at once. Also typical BioWare to hide or force major events onto players with no notification. A really annoying design choice where most players probably just reloaded to escape.
@Cheepchipsable I definitely did all the Tuchanka missions my first playthrough like you said. After I beat the game the first time, I read that bringing Tali and Kaidan/Ash along was possible as long as you did turian platoon/bomb before another certain priority mission (not saying which one in an attempt to avoid giving out big spoilers.) So now I save as many missions as I can for when the VS rejoins bc I like them both a lot.

Two things. One, I half thought you would hit the second renegade prompt on the General. If you do, your finger on the trigger um... Slips... And his head explodes. It's shocking, but I admit I thought he deserved it the first time I did it. Two, poor Aria won't be getting her couch back, and poor Harrot won't be able to gain her favor by returning it to her. 🤣
As much as I love these games, some of the bugs drive me batty. I've had to reload to fix a coding oopsie so many times... at least you didn't lose any progress. The somersaults at least bring a little levity between heartbreaks... And there are absolutely more to come. Closest I will come to backseat gaming is giving you a warning to be careful where you stand when talking to EDI. I got locked in place behind her, once. And it autosaved after the convo, too... lost quite a bit of game time over it. As always, loving your playthrough! Your reactions make a great experience even better.
i looooove the turians, but they and the salarians REALLY did the krogan dirty in these games. wrex and grunt are my babies, so i was super protective of them and their people in my playthroughs!
The Krogans did implement a genocidal war with the rebelions and after 1000+ years still feel no remorse for doing so and with the exception of Wrex and Eve refuse to move on from being buthurt about loosing said war. The genophage was not a sterility plague as per Morden in ME2, In fact the took extra care to make sure that the Krogan were not wiped out, which would have been simple for them to do.
Lol, I have zero sympathy for the Krogans, and frankly the galaxy is probably better off without them. They seem to die pretty easily in combat, so it's hard to see what's special about them. All of their posturing reminds me of teenage boys trying to be tough. Would have like to have seen more Batarians.

The one who helped make sense of your visions, recovered your body from the shadow broker, became the shadow broker, used her resources to discover the crucible plans, created her own vigil for the future, and wrote your name in the stars. You in the end get 30 War Assets even with the general killed - but instead it is a boost to Alliance First Fleet.
It was insurance against the Krogan.
If they had such utter disregard they just would have wiped them out as the Krogan did the Rachnii.

That isn't a time sensitive mission. And some mid-game squadmates have also great reactions to what's in it.

Good sniping on Omega, Basic! Shame about Nyreen - she was a good character. But made for a good story arc for Aria, I suppose.
But she is never mentioned after her death. There is no single word from Aria, Bray or Shepard about her. 😢
