What do YOU think of the new Sony 70-200mm GM II telephoto lens????
I didn't find my friend here.. :(
Do you see him, Sydney?
Definitely getting this. Been waiting for this MK II edition since I heard rumors of this in the works..😃
Me too. I really love it for video!
Fantastic. Been using it for a few months now. I love the weight reduction, 0.4m focus @ 70mm, finally works perfectly with 1.4 / 2.0x TC (AF and quality not good with MK I - acceptable with 1.4x but not 2.0x). The quality and AF speed must be the best of the 3 brands' mirrorless 70-200mm, period.
inner self: "you dont need it you dont need it" .... but i want it
Same thought is running through my mind LOL
It’s a lot like 90’s pop group Savage Garden in that respect.
OH MAN I REMEMBER SAVAGE GARDEN!! 😅
Me right now 😂
Good gracious, I forgot that you had three kids. I’m excited about this lens. So glad the family is doing well, growing up and looking awesome! 👏
Thank you!!!
The bokeh and compression looked amazing on that lens for 200mm. Thanks for sharing! Btw SUBSCRIBED!
Thanks for subscribing!
Gorgous video. Which ND filter did you use?
I'm loving the resolution of this lens.
Great video. Tempted though I just hot the f4 one. Grrr!
Great to see stabilization being beefed up.
It sooooo good!!
Nice video Syndey, especially showing the video capabilities. One correction: the tripod collar and foot are the same on the mark 1 (which I own). If I can get a decent price for my mark 1 I will upgrade to the mark 2! Cheers!
Yes, you are correct! That was my silly mistake haha
Thanks for review 70-200👌👌👌👌
oh man, I did NOT need to watch this video! So impressed by the stabilization modes.
Dude, it’s soooooo good!
WOW!!! Your Sony 70-200mm F2.8 GM II is so good!!!!
Thanks so much!
How do you align “A” on the aperture scale to the aperture index
Can I just use third mode stabilization for daily photo?
When are you going to do a comparison between 1 and 2?
Can you do a comparison of them please?
And witch one to buy or witch one is better for you?
No comparison. Go get the MK II. (I have been using one for 2 months).
Such lens at 1 kg is impressive!!… 50 mmGM is 800 grams!!. I may even sell it for this, . I also have the zeiss 55 so…considering.
I also want this so bad!!! It will complete my holy trinity of 14mm-24mm, 24mm-70mm
Dang! You’ve got great lenses!
The 24-70 GM v2 is coming out in 2022!
I hope so!!!

Do you think the bokeh on the Sony 70 - 200 is as good as the Sony 135mm 1.8?
A 1.8 would have a shallower depth of field than a 2.8 (in similar mm ranges - in this case, tele). However, can never compare a prime and zoom lens. They are for slightly different usage and cannot really be directly compared due to different lens designs) I have used both, 70200GM 1 / 2 are both nice with bokeh but obviously shallower bokeh would be produced by 135GM. You should be happy with any of them in real life. I also currently used the Samyang AF 135mm f1.8 FE for over 1.5 months with almost daily usage of shooting cats and it is also a very nice lens (can really match the 135GM without the price tag).
why would you be on stabliser mode 1/2 when 3 is much better?
Like I said in the video, Mode 1 is for stabilizing general camera shake. Mode 2 is to help stabilize panning movements (left to right). And Mode 3 is to help stabilize more erratic movements.
Do you have to half press the shutter button continuously to activate the stabilization modes when recording video?
Nope, stabilization is working all the time in the bg
@@SidneyDiongzon Ah, ok. Thanks.
Link doesn’t work to view the lens on Sony website. Is it not out yet?
Does it work now???
와 대박 한글 CC제공 무한 감사합니다🙇♂️
You gotta make another video explaining that story with the wireless microphone 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
The TripAdvisor colllar is the same as rhe previous version...
Yes, you are correct. I was thinking of a different lens 😅
0:12 were u at ft worth gardens by any chance? Seems highly familiar
Dallas Arboretum!
@@SidneyDiongzon lol that’s right.. that’s awesome lol. Meant to say Dallas but I definitely shot there last year. Will hit u up on IG. Love the channel, never realize you’re Dallas too
Lots of dark times, married people stuff, and butts in this video…..well Squirrel butts. Great video as always.
Haha, Thanks my dude!

You are from Australia?
Who cut your hair?
i bet youre vloggin on the A7IV in this video
A7S3!
Great house.
I wish maybe it’s a little less expensive than the original one. I mostly shoot car is only
Haha, we all do. What lens do you often use for cars?
@@SidneyDiongzon Sigma 35mm 1.4
Weight only 1kG. Yes. I buying it to gift myself for this Xmas
Your house. Wow 😯
the tripod collar was the same with the gen 1
I think you're right now that I'm thinking about it...I must have been thinking of a different lens haha
@@SidneyDiongzon :). you can check it out yourself :_)
@@SidneyDiongzon the difference was with the f/4 lens
I use the Kirk (Arca-Swiss) one that I bought for the 100400GM. Can also be used with 70200GM 1 / 2. All the original brands should follow Tamron to make all the tripod collar/foot with Arca-Swiss compatible. Put the collar on any extra plate introduced movement.
Honestly tamron 35-150 replaced this (unless you portrait shooter). I would better grab 35-150 and 100-400 gm
T 35-150 is ok if you don't need 200mm / TC. However, wait for 100400GM2 (I would imagine it would come out later this year / 2023 Q1, hopefully with the same 4xxg reduction and better TC quality).
@@wingcreator i mean 35-150 is honestly very useful range. Yeah about tc I mean 140-400 is a bit too zoomed on long end, Though I wish it was 28-135 to be perfect lens for all around quality video/photo
Nice review. I’m just not sure about the bokeh this lens produces, it’s not exactly creamy and smooth, looks pretty nervous and a bit distracting
0:16 cute baby..beautiful clicks..amazing brother 3:24 beautiful house 3:55 nice..amazing lens..i love it
Thanks so much
@@SidneyDiongzon you are welcome
wow thats crazy 2.8 🔥 hm? 😂
Sir, you live next to the Kardashians !? 😲
LOL, no
I "need" it. I want it. I can't afford it :(
Haha I feel this
@@SidneyDiongzon I'm pretty content with my Tamron 70-180. Knowing I am really saving $2k also helps lol
Oh good! I haven’t tried the Tamron yet
@@SidneyDiongzon it's a great lens for the price! I needed something with that range, affordable price, and lightweight/compact so it checks all the boxes for me.
Nice!
Squirrel 🐿 butt 🤪
A away too expensive
Pricey, but results are crazy good.

Gift me a phone from Nepal 🙃❤️
believe me or not but canon's color science is better than sony☺
Yeah I agree, but I still prefer Sony over Canon
GM lenses are getting lighter and cheaper than both Canon RF and Nikon Z in comparison. Also, there are more 3rd party lenses that N / C users are crying out for and just have to wait since they were late starters to mirrorless (plus not opening lens mounts to the 3rd party). Color science alone is no longer the only deciding factor. Sony is getting better at it with A1, A7SIII, and A7IV. For a FF mirrorless system as a whole, Sony is going in the right direction. I shot 30+ years with Canon (Started with an A-1 FD, left at 5Ds) because Canon no longer cares about photographers. Just look at the RF70-200 2.8L that cannot use 1.4 / 2.0x is so sad as it is a traditional professional lens for making it 1/3 shorter but still slightly heavier than the 70200GM2 that can still use 1.4 / 2.0x.
