My name is Angela Clayton, I’m a twenty year old designer and seamstress who is currently living on Long Island, in NY.
I’ve been sewing for five years and focused on period costumes and original designs for the last three. I make costumes for fun and to expand my skill set so I can hopefully get a job in the industry someday.

This is easily one of my favorite costumes you've made! It looks incredible!
A video of how you care for your costumes/clean them after walking through the dirt would be wonderful to see!
I don't think it would be very interesting! The chemises can be washed and petticoats aired out and sprayed with alcohol. The dirt usually brushes off easily after it has dried, and if it doesn't warm soapy water does a good job of spot cleaning. Just always test a scrap first, make sure the water won't leave marks after drying!!
This is stunning. It looks like an outfit that could be worn in the show Jamestown. Love the shot of you walking away with the breeze blowing, gave it a very witchy vibe.

I love your work and you are such an inspiration into my historical clothing journey!
I am in the process of making pattern Butterick # 5969 and pairing it with a combo of the shrug jacket of butterick #4952" b" but I am changing out the sleeves for puffy top and tighter to the arm .
The skirt and jacket will be matching fabrics but the corset top will be a black textured silk . I am so looking forward to finishing this to wear. I have looked for pantyhose patterns but no luch I may have to just make the stocking myself. I truly hope my stuff comes out 1/2 as good as yours. Since I lost all my things to a disaster, I just decided to make everything (clothing) since my sewing machine was about 1 of 20 items that survived. Thanks for all the help and I have loved so many of the costumes you have made . I will be making a few of the same you have made just not the same fabrics.
