- Manchester United wrapped up their season in eighth place on the Premier League table, which is their lowest league finish since the 1989-90 season. However, their FA Cup victory was a shining light, as it secured their spot in European competitions for next season.
This week, the United board is set to meet to discuss Erik ten Hag's future at the club. They've already had talks with representatives of potential replacements, including Ipswich Town's Kieran McKenna, Brentford's Thomas Frank, and former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, in case they decide it's time for a change.
It's acknowledged that Ten Hag has faced numerous challenges this season. Key players from his first-choice defense, such as Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw, were out for long stretches, which certainly didn't help his cause. Despite these setbacks, Ten Hag has done well to bring in young talent. Teenagers Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, who both scored in the FA Cup final win against Manchester City, are great examples of this.

If a manager is winning trophy’s and getting into Europe he shouldn’t be sacked in my opinion. He should be giving another season. Yes United should be challenging for the big trophy’s but they need to sort the club out first
I agree..you also need to understand the ownership change...the people who gave ETH his job are no there anymore
Same problem weve had for years with the glazers. More faffing around. No decisiveness at all.
I agree. I'm starting to get worried about how INEOS are handling this transfer window...
And who was that manager im 89/90? Fergie. Joined United in 86 and won nothing until 1990, coincidentally the FA Cup. ETH two trophies in 3 Finals in first two years. Stick with ETH and the process.
I believe it's safe to say that the era of football managers staying with one club for more than five years is a thing of the past. Nowadays, if a manager doesn't perform within three years, they're likely to be fired. Just look at Pochettino, Xavi, and Tuchel as examples.
YOU PAY YOUR TAXES......RIGHT?..........SIR JIM AVOIDS 'EM LIKE THE PLAGUE!
I honestly don't see any difference between the Glazers and Sir Jim
9 days and counting...
I feel like they will give him one extra year...I'm just disappointed with the amount of time taking to make this decision
Useless!!! Why does ETH Not fight for Mason Greenwood? Are you also a Fake?
