The fact that the devs' keep putting out genuine top-tier material without any attached price tags on a consistent time-frame is nothing short of inconceivably amazing in a world of post-launch updates, paywalls, and buggy mechanics from studios and developers with a lot more resources!
the fact that they wont properly update old content to a same level (parts selection aswell as amount and quality of configs) is kinda sad. They started to go on the right track with the spring clean, but as before someone at beamng felt like something new would be more fun.
The game is definitely on the right track, but right now its more of a "lets see whats fun" instead of a "lets make a well designed game"
It would be selfish of them to charge more for updates when the game itself costs $20 and no game does that.

Older vehicles are also being worked on to match the newer more detailed ones.
I don't think it's fair to say that they're not updating the old content to the new level, it's just that they haven't worked on the specific examples you're thinking of, yet.
@@YOEL_44 Im aware of the progress beam has been through, since ive been playing it since 2013. My disappointment lies with the way they work on the game and where they are headed. I dont want to spark a giant discussion about this, but let me show you one example of why the Work right now is lacking.
During the Spring Cleaning Update they reworked the ETK's, which is great cause they were pretty legacy. The problem with the "Cleaning" is that they still wont set a certain standard of quality for the reworks.
- The Part selection is very lacking
- many motors dont have the full range of blocks, intakes, etc.
- intakes are restricted to normal, ttsport and maybe a third
- Configs are still not the greatest and some are falsely tuned for the purpose they try to represent
There were many great improvements (involving the openable doors and rework of the driving center), but overall this is not a proper rework and indeed just a refresh.
What beamng despretly needs is consitency in its content, wether it be cars, parts, config, tracks or scenarios. But instead it was more interesting for them to create a new minivan (which is cool dont get me wrong), joke/derby car configs and a few scenarios. If Beamng really wants to become the next big car game (which i hope it will become) they really need bring everything to the same level and redecided what to do every half year.
Ive been trying to work with the BeamNG.gmbh, but from my, and other modders, experience the treatment is not quite welcomning and aslong as beamng.tech with audi brings in money, i dont expect this to change.

Actually really glad this was added, I grew up with a purple Plymouth Voyager as the family car, now I can finally relive those days and pretend to run form the police in it.

My god I can't believe it's been 11 years since then. I still remember seeing the pre-release footage and being so excited for release! This came has come such a long way since then and I'm so happy to have stuck around

Nice to finally see an official minivan in the game, I was getting tired of using the aging Ibishu Kashira mod (which is still good, but has been broken over the years by updates) Great job guys. Personally, I love the mall cop livery and the taxi livery, which looks and feels like an homage to GTA 4. This van very much looks and feels like the Chrysler Voyager/Grand Caravan. Love it. Great job as always.
I used to have so much fun on GtaIV! I miss the online days of that on my ps3... Beamng is doing great!
Finally, an official plastic 00's (and late 90's) minivan for us to enjoy for free.
Only devs that i have huge respect for, they keep working and updating game for 10 years and never wanted from us to pay for additional content, you paid once for a game and you have it, big respect for you guys, keep doing like it

I think that 1100 hours is time correctly used if playing beam, also got 1100ish hours
All the content is to get the game to full release as it is in early access so why would they charge for an essential development of the game?
This is a remake of the 1996 AND 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, Plymouth Voyager, and Dodge Grand Caravan.

@@enzoperruccio the game isn’t even like 40 gigabytes, and what else you gonna play that isn’t cringe? forza? cringe. the crew? cringier. these devs put very hard work into this $25 game just for you to go out and say they didn’t? It’s not a AAA game studio, they are all working from home (mostly) and will NOT deliver an update like 0.27 every 3 months, it just isn’t possible. Now stop mouthing and appreciate that this game even exists.

I can see there is a very strong influence from the Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country, especially in the taillights! The pre and post face-lift look like the third and fourth generation of the Caravan!
You can also see some hints of Plymouth voyager
There's also hints of the second-gen Ford Windstar/3rd gen Freestar too
The front end hints at the GM dustbuster vans
If you actually look underneath the car too. You can see that L shaped transmission which is exactly what the Ford Windstar used.
Google “Ford AX4N transmission” if you want a better look. Very close resemblance of the GM 4T65-E.

Bro this brings back good memories, my grandfather had that van since 2000 with the same color and it was wonderful (it was from 1996 and it was a chrysler voyager). It was very comfortable and had a good engine. But then we had to sell it after my grandfather passed away, but thanks to the addition of the van to the game I can enjoy it again!!
Looks like the Ibishu Kashira and the Bruckell Legran Vrv will have another competitor 😎
I'm gonna be a bit hokey here, but I really want to thank the BeamNG devs for filling the void that AAA gaming has brought me. After letdown after letdown this year, BeamNG drive really puts a smile on my face with the effort, attention to detail, and hard work they put into their game, which is severely lacking in the industry nowadays. Not to mention how community friendly they are too! Are you paying attention, AAA game companies? This is how you do a "live service" game.

@kokopellione my point was they havent abandoned the game they haven't released yet. If they did, they would be losers. I'm glad they have been keeping the game in development despite how long it's been in alpha.

I love the fact that beamng are still putting just normal average cars in the game. I like how you many variations in customisation there. Like take a stock car and face lifting it but if you want to you can make is racey
I like this update, I won't find myself using the Minivan a lot, but I like that Soliad got some love from the devs.
Anyways, new tire screeches are cool.
F1 23 is the only driving sim besides BeamNG i play. Everything else feels like arcade games! BeamNG will always be my favorite car sim!! You guys rock!

Holy crap I love this, it’s like an amalgamation of a 3rd and 4th gen Voyager, a Windstar, and a first gen Sedona, absolutely something to behold.
Edit: Maybe a little bit of Renault or Pontiac Montana/Olds Silhouette in that facelift model as well?

Love the design..Front to me resembles a 2nd gen (late 90s) Dodge Grand Caravan..Even has matching Caravan alloy wheels..Back to me looks more like a Ford Windstar.. It's awesome we get a minivan. Now we need some mini trucks...Chevy S10..Dodge Dakota..Ford Ranger type of trucks. One by Bruckell and one by Gavril. Maybe one by Ibishu too to fit into the Japanese truck category. Would be like the BeamNG version of a Toyota Tacoma..

Thank you for continuing to update Beam NG Drive!!! I have been playing it off and on sense 2019 when I got my first legit gaming PC. When I was a child in the 90's I was obsessed with car destruction, car chases, demolition derbies. I would copy toy car bodies with aluminum foil and crush them up, sometimes actually crushing the toy with a hammer or vise😂. NOW with this game I can fulfill my sheetmetal crumple urges as easily as booting up a video game🎉. If no other game comes out with the physics this one has then I will be playing Beam NG drive for as long as I live.
Next car idea: Hopper remaster with a 4 door option and facelift.
