Running 20mi Run The Rock on 5 weeks of training

  • Decided to start running and trained for 5 weeks before this run. I figured my limit was about 10 miles and knowing that we all have mental limits that tell us to quit when we have only done 40% of what we are capable of. Therefore, I decided to sign up for 20 mi. The problem was the elevation which i severely under trained for, so it was pretty difficult to get through this run and it took quite a long time. Making it through uninjured was the primary goal. Shockingly, I was not last.
