I own DOOM 2 but it keeps loading me into freedoom everytime I try to join a brutal doom server and says I dont have the wads when I have the brutal doom wads
I have a problem, so like whenever i try to play in a server, the game just doesn't open, like, i download the wads needed, and i have the Iwads needed too, but it's just doesn't let me play, the game just doesn't open and i'm kinda mad for that, because i didn't have any problem before
Are the Iwads inside the Doomseeker server? While Zandronum can detect and boot into Doom installations, Doomseeker doesn't and you have to put the files it needs into the Doomseeker folder or a subfolder inside it.
Just tested it with this one: www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom/addons/idkfa-doom-soundtrack You absolutely can install it; it just needs to be in either .wad or .pk3 form and designed as replacement for the iWAD you're using as a base. For example, that particular mod is based on Doom 1, so it will only work on Doom 1 servers. You'd need a different one for Doom II. Hopefully, that helps. :)
Followed your instructions to the letter, "wadseeker will not work target directory is either not configured is invalid or cannot be written to. please review your configuration
@@DErott Well, you could watch one of my Maximum Doom streams. When I do deathmatch levels, I host them on Zandronum, and viewers join them and fight with me.
@@KesGaming Well, my main question is, why do I need to give them access through my UI? Like how it asks if it can edit your hard drive? Why does such a thing like that need to bother with that, I run GZDoom all the time, but it has never asked me to access the hard drive?
@@DErott It Probably does that due to zandronum downloading mods when you try join a server while not having the mods needed to do so, if you don't agree to it, it won't be able to download the mods making it harder to join some servers GZDoom doesn't need to do that as it's offline and you're not joining something that needs a specific mod or such and only activates a mod when you put it on, otherwise it'll just default to normal doom tldr; zandronum is like going through your steam library and downloading a game since you don't have it installed, gzdoom is the base game unless you tell it to enable "fan made dlc" (aka mods)
you know i really like tea
You must have good tastes.
I was watching your stream and wanted to join. Thankfully you posted this ❤️

This was helpful thank you so much
Glad it helped!
Idk first time opening it works perfectly but after updating it the servers never pop up

How would i use skins? That may sound funny, but each game i join my skins arent available. Is there a problem with the server or the skins?
I'm honestly not sure, I don't have much experience with custom skins.
Hi i have a problem when i launched the app it doesn't fit my screen how do i fix it? (My resolution is 1366x768)
Cream into a mason jar, wrap it in saran wrap for 24-48 hours and pray that will fix your problem
You are very welcome
Man I guess I'm not the only one still using Windows XP lol
Ok so I came across a problem, it automatically opened up Doomseeker when I’m still trying to get into Doom 2. How do I fix this?
Go to where you installed Zandronum, double click on zandronum.exe and open Doom 2 from there.

one small question, is zandronum able to run other wads? like project brutality and brutal doom?
Yes, it is, just load them as custom wads.
@@KesGaming how to do that?
Probably a dumb question, but are you able to install the doom metal music mods onto brutal doom in this? If so, how
