- My last ever ride on a Haibike - I quit! This is the end of an era for me, after 5 years of riding for Haibike I have quit the team and all is revealed in this video, whilst having one last shred on local MTB trails!
It has come to this point in my life where I've had to move on from Haibike after 5 years of sponsorship, and in this video i'll tell you why, whilst getting in one last ride down my local MTB trails on my enduro bike and have a pretty fun shred session with Lewi Pilgrim. I've been slowly feeling Haibike's direction heading the opposite way, so with my chance to leave I jumped at the opportunity and will move on to something amazing in 2023!

Whatever the new brand is they're lucky to have you. The way you are able to push the boundaries of what is possible on any given type of bike is incredible.

It's the bed frame bike manufacturer, since his video on it they've blown up and been making alot more models, makes sense to hire the guy that supported them from the start.
He did say that the new bike is for all types of riding, so makes sense that it's a bed.

Any brand you represent receives such incredible value for the investment. Never heard of Haibike before you and found it hard to respect the brand, but you've shown what can be done with them, it's amazing. I enjoy what you do on the analog hardtail, especially. Whichever company you're going to present next has much to look forward to. 🤘

The change of tyres as well makes me think it'll be Trek for the bikes and Bontrager for the tyres. Keeping it all in house so to speak. Loved my Big Earl up front on my old Fuel EX9 so would be happy to see their kit actually ridden to its limits 🙂
Id say Trek or Canyon, with Canyon probably being the most realistic given its a Euro brand. Either way, Sam is probably the best type of rider to sponsor, Nonstop content (and it is RELATABLE riding), 100% good vibes, and one of the best freestylers in the biz. I agree I would have never heard of Haibike without Sam.

You're the reason I decided to get a haibike, and get back into mountain biking in 2020. It's honestly been a great bike, and it's done everything I ask of it. I'm not the rider I was when I was younger, but your videos inspired me to get back out on the trails and its been a total blast. I use it for commuting (even in winter and through snow), errands close by, trail riding, and longer joy rides/workouts. I love it, and its simply a joy to ride everywhere. Its not playful on the trails like a regular mountain bike (more like a tank), but I can go twice as far in the same amount of time. For the price, I think its a great bike.

Yes Pilgs!!! I remember way back in the day when you were known as Leopardhead. I used to ride at PORC a lot and helped run the DH races there for a while. I had a few sessions with you in the jump area, you were always so pumped, positive and supportive of others even at that young age. You pushed me to ride bigger jumps and i've always loved you for it. Keep doing what you're doing dude can't wait to find out who you're taking your next step in your riding career with. @@dvs620 a buddy of mine mentioned Giant, which I think could have a good chance too. They’re massive, but not generally what people dropping big bucks on mountain bikes go for. I rarely see Giant’s top end bikes on the trail (I could be wrong here, this is just from my own observations). They could be working to change that through Sam.

So I'd say he really means a slopestyle bike, like full squish. Only real options if the brand has to be a big one with good athletes are canyon and trek. And I'd say it's canyon, just because he's one of the biggest MTB UA-camrs and canyon wants to get all of them xD

Biggest brand in the world? In terms of history, quality and reputation, it is a 2 horse race between Trek and Specialized. Now, the one that sells more? That's Giant. Well Sam, given your hints I'm left with Trek, Specialized, or Giant. On one hand I absolutely love seeing high profile riders endorsing smaller companies but at the same time I know it's likely a huge opportunity for you to be with a bigger company.
Gotta be Trek, since he mentioned a comfy slopestyle bike. They're the only ones with a full sus slopestyle bike. Unless maybe Specialized plans to bring back the p.slope this year.

Probably for the best because pilgrim is a sick rider with mad skills and haibike are getting like apple continually bring new products out new lines and products to frequently. I'm probably one of the rare species at this point who rides a Haibike that doesn't have a motor. Admittedly I'm just a simple xc rider. But I totally understand your perspective on the change of direction. I've had her for quite some years and I know my next bike won't be a Haibike either.

Rockrider (or decathlon in general) would actually be very good for the brand. But, at least at the moment, their lineup sucks. They only have half decent CX and road bikes.
