    Looks great except in everything I have read about venting the dryers, one rule is never to have a 90 degree angle as you can create a back draft.

      It's 6 inch duct so as long as it's wide open to the end, it should work well. But many people will have an exhaust fan at the end which can be turned on and off. For many shops there is no other way except to use a right turn to vent. It all depends on your space. I had to vent out to an existing hole in the roof. I have an exhaust fan at the end as well so there's a little draw on the venting duct. Just enough not to pull too much heat out of the oven chamber. Thanks for watching! Hey buddy! Thank you!! LOL man if I would have had the fore sight to figure everyone would notice that I would have waited until this week.... ;) It will be in a junction box by the end of the week. We wanted to make sure the fan was right before closing it all up. Yeah once we're really settled I'll do another walk through. Thank you very much, I appreciate your support! Thanks for watching. Not sure what your electrical codes are there , but it may be a good idea to see if those splices should be in a junction box. You might need the wiring to be in BX or in electrical conduit. I would not want you to get fined . BTW, thanks for the great instructional videos.

      You're very welcome! My pleasure to help out. Haha you noticed that? Are you an electrician? Thanks for the concern but that is a temporary hook up for testing. That will be connected permanently this week. Sometimes the little details take some time. But yeah everything is code since we are in a commercial space. And I can tell you code ain't cheap..... lol ;) Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

      The store is coming along great. You are doing a fantastic job. I have done some electrical work in the past. Now I am a screen printer. I own a company which is named Mark1615 LLC. The name of the company is the great commission; Go ye into all of the word and preach the gospel unto every creature. That is just what we aim to do. We tell the good news of the birth of a virgin born, sinless human, Jesus Christ. He is 100 percent man and 100 percent God. Jesus fulfilled the laws of God because we can't. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus was crucified for us on Calvary to make a way to heaven. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No man can go to God the Father but by Jesus. We must be born again to get into the kingdom of heaven. All we have to do is except Jesus as our Lord and have a repentant attitude about our wrongs that is to say, be willing to change and do what is pleasing to a holy God. Again, love the vids my friend.

    Great work and cool explanation. Man, venting can be a problem with higher ceilings. Glad you showed me this. Gave me some ideas. In your garage set up, how were you venting that?

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  9 років тому +1

      Thank you!! Yes, venting can be a challenge in any space actually. In the garage shop I did not vent since I opened the door when printing. It only had 8 foot ceilings so I would have had to go through that, the attic and the roof. Not worth it since the garage door opened vented the entire shop in one swoop... LOL ;) Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

    Love your videos sir, I have a m&r sprint 3000 and we have thick brown liquid dripping from the ducts, any ideas as to what this might be and if it is a problem, how to avoid it?

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  7 років тому +1

      Thank you. Glad to know you enjoy my video work. I would contact M&R for technical support since that is a gas dryer. It could be exhaust fume build up but you should seek technical support to be sure. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

    Is your direction arrow on your duct fan blowing the wrong direction? The arrow is pointing down into your air conditioner. I need to vent my cure star 4000. Gets pretty hot really quick. Lol.

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  9 років тому +1

      Dewey Smith LOL.... probably. My brother did the work so it was for free! Sort of ;) Actually it is not pointing the wrong direction. The duct you see in front of that is for the AC unit just below. So they both exhaust in the same direction out to the vent in the same direction as the arrow. The AC unit has its own blower which is pretty powerful. So it comes up to the junction and joins with the duct fan from the dryer. I ended up splitting them both into separate ducts so the AC blower would not affect the dryer venting at all. The AC blower turned out to be stronger than we thought. If it hadn't so forceful the original set up would have been fine. But you should pay attention to the dryer venting and don't worry about the added on AC unit. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Tee Shirts: How To Vent Your Belt/Conveyor Dryer
    As we set up the new storefront and screen printing equipment and supply store in Phoenix Arizona we have the opportunity to do things a little differently. With the bigger space and high ceilings we have a swamp cooler and air conditioner in the shop area. That larger space enables a separation of cool air and hot air so venting the dryer removes heat and fumes from the printing area. This is beneficial to the health and comfort of your employees. With proper ventilation and in duct fans you can vent plastisol ink fumes as well as the shirt dye fumes out of the work space. It should also keep a much lower temperature in the shop by venting heat out with the fumes. In this educational screen printing video I show you my venting and duct work complete with in duct variable speed fan. This video should help you get a good idea of what it will take to vent your screenprinting belt or conveyor dryers for printing tee shirts. Enjoy the video!

    I can't remember where I saw some sort of attachment that is like a vent hood that goes at the exit end of the dryer to catch fumes but not necessarily suck out all the hot air that is going to be at the top of the dryer, anyone know who makes that?

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  Рік тому

      That's usually a custom install by someone who does venting for restaurants or industrial applications. Do a local Google search. Could be an AC/Heating type company as well. In this case the exhaust fan and vent keep a lot of the heat out of the shop. But during the summer in Arizona, you have to simply deal with it... lol. Thanks for watching! Thanks again for another helpful video! You always keep the videos relevant & I always take something away from each video you post & the comments that are posted... Even if it's just confirmation that I'm not the only one in my undies in the summer heat. Aside from that, do you filter the exhaust before it exits the workshop?

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  8 років тому +1

      +T Edwards Thank you! You're very welcome, glad I can help out through my videos. No, the venting is not filtered as it is not required for the fumes released here. They are very minimal and only pose a problem when concentrating in a small closed space. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

    Brand new to screen printing..running into some issues trying to print in my basement. Either I have to figure out how I can vent the smell outside or I have to find a new place to print :/ Money is tight right now too..Could really use some guidance!

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  9 років тому +1

      Ronnie Bickers Hmmm, well even with proper venting there is likely to be some smell about the home as the fumes rise with the hot air. I used to have this problem years ago when I was care giving for my Mother and was still printing in the garage. She would complain about the smell no matter what I did.... LOL. Rest her soul ;) Anyway you should do a venting job like I did however you can using a duct fan to help evacuate the fumes. Then you may have to use some positive pressure in the house while you print to keep the fumes from getting in there a ton. You know, turn on the AC or cooling fan to keep positive airflow inside out. But even then the fumes can get around so you could be in a pickle depending on the sensitivity of those residing there. I Catspit ! Thank you for this video. I'd like to hear you about a good method for the classification of films. Some films are wide and I'd to know what is your classification method. Thank you ! I am from Quebec Canada

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  9 років тому

      You’re very welcome. Glad I can help out through my videos. Inkjet film? I do not classify it at all. Rather they come in specific sheet sizes or rolls. Sheets are commonly 8.5x11, 11x17, 13x19 and sometimes 11x14 along with various width size rolls. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

      Hi Catspit! You know I french and I probably used a wrong word for my question about film. I mean storage after used, not classification. I am sorry and congratulations for your new shop.

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  9 років тому +1

      Le Brodeur LOL... after I posted my comment I was like.... "did he mean storage of printed film positives?" That all depends. But I used to store them flat in an alphabetical pile with dividers for each letter set. You can keep the pile or piles in drawers or cabinets. It's not the most ideal way but it takes up little space and costs nothing to do. Otherwise people use very large flat file drawers and alphabetical ordering. Some use medical filing systems and others buy systems built for screen printing.

    Why not insulate your exhaust pipe , it would it keep the shop kool ?

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  3 роки тому +2

      That might help some but the majority of the heat comes out of the end of the tunnel. The vent helps minimize that but you can certainly insulate your duct work. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

    I see, how's that portable ac work? I'm tired of printing in my under wear lol. Jk. Sort of. I'm sure just venting the dryer alone would make a difference

    • @CatspitProductions

      Dewey Smith LOL.... not such a joke really. I used to print in my shorts and run to the pool, jump in, get out and go back to printing. Here in AZ I would dry up pretty fast and it can hit over 110 in the shop. The AC unit works okay in a smaller space. In this shop it does not do much really.... haha but it does make the area near the press more bearable at times. I have a large swamp cooler that really does the cooling when I need it.
