I have been in the live chat for the Final, After party and the MV, and i have to say i am so disappointed with the community 😢 The amount of hate Kendall is receiving is so sad. I understand people are upset that not all contestants get to debut (as am I), but that doesn't mean they should be hating on Kendall, plus they are saying they will support the other 5 girls and not her. Its not her fault she was selected and others weren't. She is a young girl who did nothing wrong. I truly hope she isnt reading the live chats 😢

While k-pop rookies usually have restricted phone access, I've got a feeling that may not fly for the VCHA girls...meaning, I'm sure they'll be taking a look at social media. Definitely not a great thing for their mental health, and I think a shortcoming of how JYP coddled them with feedback relative to his Korean/Japanese survival shows, where those required them to build up harder, more resilient skins. But even then, those are professional, well-meaning critiques, and netizens often are, well...just outright mean. I just hope Kendall can show similar aptitude for continued development as NIziU Ayaka, who had a similar quasi-JYP-favors-her-in-spite-of-objective-skill-level storyline. While Ayaka didn't make my personal NiziPro debut lineup, I cannot deny she's shown clear growth each and every song/video they've put out.

I'm so happy JYP realized (and verbalized to her) that Savanna's apparent aloofness didn't reflect on her actual work ethic or discipline. She reminds me so much of Itzy Ryujin in the quiet, unbothered confidence that there's no need to worry because the critique will be addressed when the opportunity allows, and the work will get done, and well. The embodiment of "don't worry, I've gotchu."
Happy for all who got in! I also hope that Gina will be like Chaeryeong, who was eliminated in Sixteen, and instead of debuting with Twice, she went to Itzy! Twice has a cute bubblegum image when launched, while Itzy immediately went for a edgier image. I hope that this is a blessing in disguise for Gina, or that JYP has bigger plans for a cool concept girl group for her in the future -which she will be much more suitable for anyway!
True class act that the first words out of Lexus' mouth on her day of TREMENDOUS achievement were to thank others for helping to her to rise to the occasion. She knows that her accomplishment was really a team effort. Never any self-aggrandization from her.
I completely agree with you and I too totally disagreed with them snubbing Gina, but seeing her new MV, I never imagined my views turning 180 so quickly. It's in my opinion a great song, and it's straight savage she released it almost right when VCHA's MV dropped. Her channel name is Ginadeboss and she's literally a boss. She's showing once again and what she showed throughout A2K is that she's a true ace that is laser focused and will never stop pursuing her dreams. It would be so much tougher if she was a Korean artist, but this very well could be a better result for her as an English speaker that is able to release her own music and not be pigeon-holed in the Korean entertainment industry. On the bright side, she still got great training from them and I'm sure she'll utilize it to her best advantage.

That said, I DO think it'll be an obstacle with getting recognition with the non-already-k-pop-consuming general audience here in N. America. The "YOUniverse" music video's scenes directly reflect on what each girl was doing prior to joining the competition. Cute idea.

I just listened to the album version of the three songs, and the extra time in the oven with additional production worked wonders. It even softened the edges of the chants of "Know Me Like That" that grated on me.
TeenVogue scooped the first interview with the new group. Turns out Lexus is officially the Leader. I know we ALL thought it was pretty clear Camila was locked to be Leader, but if they put it up to a vote from the girls, I can see Lexus also easily being in the running.
I love Kendall so much and im so happy for her, I'm not saying she shouldn't have made it i just think gina should've made it too, and i think cristina should've been kept as a trainee and just debuted later with a different group because her skills were lower but not by a crazy amount.

She is so very talented and no one can deny that. But this type of group needs members that the fans can connect with. Kendall had that over Gina...everyone had that over Gina. I thought she made progress a couple episodes back, but with this one, I felt she was back on not connecting. I wish her nothing but the best and I'm following her on social media with her solo career. I think she will do much better with that road.

(as you can see she didn't place in the character evaluation) I could see her side eyeing people through the competition (could have been an accident) she also came in really cocky, she was way over confident. I always wondered why she came in saying "I WAS a JYP trainee" like did they kick you out? Did you leave? If you did leave why did you come back? I really think the reason Gina didn't debut was all based in her personality and how she may have treated people behind the scenes.
JYP is well known for emphasizing the mmember's personality much more than their skills. I'm not saying Gina and Chritina have a bad personality. Kendall just has a better personality than them. That's it.
I'm a fan of both Gina & Kendall, with no hate for any girl. They're kinda opposites in their skills, and I see a bit of myself in each of them. First of all congratulations on your UA-cam partnership. Well deserved. I enjoyed your reactions with A2K and Nizi project. Kendall over Gina was a decision made about attitude. Gina is more skilled but Kendall has the humility over Gina in my opinion and the staffs. At the end when JYP talked to both Christina and Gina he said that decision was made with input from all aspects of the competition including the staff. JYP is a business. I cant help but speculate there might have been an incident with Gina and the staff or her attitude didn't jive with the staff. They all have to work together from here on and as a business there has to be cohesiveness. Not saying its wrong but Gina coming out with her MV as "Freedom" saids a lot to me. Cause and effect? Who knows. Watch Gina's body language through out the announcement of the new members. Its a 3 month process and its been whittled down to snippets and there's definitely things we are not privy to. Sad to see both Christina and Gina go but it is a competition. I'm hoping Christina becomes part of JYP's dance trainers. Keep doing you and I look forward to your future reactions. Edit. Yes !! I think it felt strange the entire K-pop song was in English. No Korean or any other languages? I did enjoy watching A2K alot, especially with you, Serenity. Had some good crys. Learned even more about idol making since Nizi Project. I think this is a huge step for K-pop global domination. Sorry Serenity, I'm with Kendal. Gina was 13 during A2K. All of life is ahead of her. She'll be fine. But I totally did not see that ranking coming, even after JYP announced the character winners.

I'm not hate about the results, feeling unfair ,her who works hard getting debut but failed ..i remember she is sick when akari in dance evaluation,but still working so hard and don't wanna make other contestants or even jyp worried about her.

Regarding the name... it is an odd choice. It doesn't really work in English, so I guess that means they are focused on the Korean market? Niziu doesn't really work in English either (even though it is a play on "need you"), but it works fairly well in Japanese, so at least that made sense. Rainbow is niji in Japanese, but an alternate romanization is nizi. I think Korean is similar.
I also thought Team Tempo's performance under-delivered vocally. They all sounded notably winded and labored with their singing, even the usually dependable Camila. Comparatively, Team Clover didn't sound nearly as labored. So I'm surprised the votes leaned towards Tempo.
Conspiracy theory: Gina quit before the finale. Did you catch how Savanna got 2nd in character, but JYP said the got 3rd and 4th for trainer and participant votes? And Gina was 2nd in character when she went to the hotel last week... I wonder if Gina was the actual 2nd place, but they disqualified her for quitting. Then the whole disappointment talk at the end didn't seem to fit. I think she meant disappointment that she quit, not about her performance or effort or whatever.
I tell you why this episode sucked. The look on the girls faces as the announcer congratulates the debuting members. The only thing they are thinking about is their friends that didnt make it. It's not a look of happiness. I just dont understand why the other two had to stand there and watch.
It ain't a JYP survival show if people aren't sobbing and "ruining" the triumphant victory photos. The dichotomy of the screen with their photos and the "congratulations" is a bit funny. I do appreciate that it speaks to the members characters that in their "moment of victory," their empathy still leads them to think more about the members "left behind."
For JYP the emotions are more important while Kendal showed emotions Gina didn't and also the part that Kendal got 1st in evaluation from the staff ig. Gina was the only one who spoke French so it's sad. I am more sad about Christina tbh

And of course, started a new Instagram account, following only the other 4 eliminated contestants, as well as her brother. It also appears she watched the finale episode together with Yuna.
All of them should've debuted. Kaylee did great the whole show its just the preference of the Judges and others staffs. U don't need to bring Kaylee down to prove Gina deserved to debut.
I'm not as stuck on Gina's alleged lack of natural expression as the judges were, and I would've easily let her debut, but if we're looking at JYP's presiding metric of growth-over-stagnation, there's no way Kaylee didn't earn a spot. As was plainly stated at the start of the Korea phase of the show, the girls are only competing with themselves, not the other contestants. This wasn't a net-zero structure like, say, Sixteen.
The obvious favoritism is frustrating, Kendall is not better than the other 2. The way she expresses emotions in song is amazing but everything else techniques wise, wasn't enjoyable to me. Her vocals is weak, she's good at dancing but it's nothing too special. JYP/judges criticism towards Christina & Gina were VERY nitpicky, it's not a big issue to the point that it can warrant them an elimination, their stage presence were still good. Both of them got an edge in terms of skills over Kendall. How you're gonna praise the bare minimum as perfect & in fact a glow down from past performances meanwhile someone who improved wasn't acknowledged? I can already imagine poor girl is gonna be the hate bomb of the group, & it's the show fault for being unfair. The only way possible to include Kendall in the lineup without any conflicts is to also add Gina & Christina to the debut lineup bcs there's no reason to not choose both of them if they're able to pick Kendall. Anyway I'm happy that it's over, really sad hearing the eliminated members speech at the end, they really tried so hard. I hope Kendall gonna get even better from hereon & proves the haters wrong. Let's have a successful debut Vcha!

For JYP the emotions are more important while Kendal showed emotions Gina didn't and also the part that Kendal got 1st in evaluation from the staff ig. Gina was the only one who spoke French so it's sad. I am more sad about Christina tbh
I think Christina was blindsided by it truthfully. I like Christina but I guess I felt she wasn't going to make the cut for a while. But Gina not making it blindsided me. But I'm happy she made a solo debut!
Camila wrote a rap partially in French during the LA Boot Camp. I dunno her overall proficiency, but that’s at least some French linguistics still in the final group.

@@SerenityReacts Well if the europe2korea thing happens then Gina who can speak french english and korean would be a good addition plus she is still 13. So I think He wanted her for another group. Cristina might be in the works for latin2korea. So lets hope so.
@@SerenityReacts Seems Gina didn't remain a JYPE trainee. She just dropped her solo music video, "Freedom," right after the episode concluded, beating the group's video to release. And of course, started a new Instagram account, following only the other 4 eliminated contestants, as well as her brother. It also appears she watched the finale episode together with Yuna.
I don't know but if she releases a solo video does that necessarily mean she is still not a trainee. I'm only asking@@dafunkk12
Honestly Gina should have been picked over KayLee. KayLee was not good in her last two performances & lost for Team Clover
All of them should've debuted. Kaylee did great the whole show its just the preference of the Judges and others staffs. U don't need to bring Kaylee down to prove Gina deserved to debut.
I'm not as stuck on Gina's alleged lack of natural expression as the judges were, and I would've easily let her debut, but if we're looking at JYP's presiding metric of growth-over-stagnation, there's no way Kaylee didn't earn a spot. As was plainly stated at the start of the Korea phase of the show, the girls are only competing with themselves, not the other contestants. This wasn't a net-zero structure like, say, Sixteen.

The obvious favoritism is frustrating, Kendall is not better than the other 2. The way she expresses emotions in song is amazing but everything else techniques wise, wasn't enjoyable to me. Her vocals is weak, she's good at dancing but it's nothing too special. JYP/judges criticism towards Christina & Gina were VERY nitpicky, it's not a big issue to the point that it can warrant them an elimination, their stage presence were still good. Both of them got an edge in terms of skills over Kendall. How you're gonna praise the bare minimum as perfect & in fact a glow down from past performances meanwhile someone who improved wasn't acknowledged? I can already imagine poor girl is gonna be the hate bomb of the group, & it's the show fault for being unfair. The only way possible to include Kendall in the lineup without any conflicts is to also add Gina & Christina to the debut lineup bcs there's no reason to not choose both of them if they're able to pick Kendall. Anyway I'm happy that it's over, really sad hearing the eliminated members speech at the end, they really tried so hard. I hope Kendall gonna get even better from hereon & proves the haters wrong. Let's have a successful debut Vcha!
