It's old memories to see this same shipyard where I was in the Puget sound naval shipyard as a high school kid with their naval program and it was quite an experience being on that base!
Got a tour of it in 1983 while I was working in Keyport as an intern. The funniest thing was sitting in a bus full of interns driving down the hill from the base to the docks. The other interns starting oh'ing and ah'ing and I didn't understand why. As far as I could tell, there was a WWII class submarine, painted yellow, and tied up to big gray dock. Eventually my eyes panned out enough to realize the "big grey dock" was a Trident class submarine. Seriously, if you haven't seen one, their scope is almost hard to believe.
Ahh, the bunker where they stow office furniture and reams of printer paper. The best part is the forklift operator who had the loss of control on his load (10:02). Don't show that to the supervisor. lol.
No, your tax dollars pay for a common defense. They're my tax dollars, too, and I'm not so foolish as to believe that entitles me to information I have absolutely no need of.
I'm new to Washington State and would like to take a tour of this Naval base, what's the procedure for touring this facility? I've had a close relative serve here for a couple of yrs and he was honorably discharged in 2011. He told me of all the fascinating Pacific countries he visited while serving aboard the USS Ohio. Thx for any advice. I'm also a veteran who served with the USArmy in Germany (3) yrs. I've never seen a sub up close and personal and would love to see one.
Well you have to join the mens department of the United States armed forces. Other than that you can try jumping over the fence like these idiots did. You dont need to know what things on this base look like. Semper Fi
Whoever filmed this had one very advanced drone, able to fly extremely high without notice and amazingly powerful camera. It's also apparent that the person who filmed this was either a serviceman or civilian security on this base at one time to know what those areas are and the activity. If so, shame on you!
Was stationed there from 86-89 as part of the Marine Barracks. Awesome duty station. Wonder how they got these images?
Dd a lot of training at TTF, and then 4 years on the USS Henry M. Jackson, SSBN-730, Blue Crew 1989-1994... thanks for posting, many memories...
Drove by this facility many times on my way down to the Delta Facility. I was stationed COMSUBGRU NINE 1985-1987.
Was at Marine Barracks from 86-89. Great place to live
I'm surprised you got close enough to shoot that footage. How close were you? I used to work there.
Whoa! I just got done watching one of your videos!
I was there 2009-2011. MCSF

At 560 feet they're 50 feet longer than an Arleigh Burke class Destroyer. That's huge for a submarine.
if you want on base you have to fill out a Id-10-T form at the gate. ask for a pric-E9 form as well from the petty officer of the watch.
+ryan duncan and then they toss you the Humvee keys and away you go.
lol. or a mid air missilt ech certification

The person shooting this video works for who?

The double fenced area with the guard towers must be where they store the nuclear warheads.
I'm sure the Russians, Chinese & North Koreans will be using this video in their intelligence briefing on our military capabilities.
Because Russia and China don't already have satellites that could probably read your name tag.
I hate that this information is so widely available to our potential enemies, but I'm so glad I get to see it :)
