Be careful about bringing kitchen knives. I would recommend not to bring any kitchen knives because you could get arrested at the airport for importing weapons. However, bringing some 'kudampuli' and curry leaves would be a better choice.

Hello friends ...please always check when the Visa is valid from....when you get Visa there will be a date when it is valid from....now entry Visa for nurses tier 2 and their dependent is valid only upto one month. Then they will get BRP card from postoffice after coming here ..they have to collect it within 10 days..Start a bank account immediately after reaching here...GP appointment where you see doctor for any illness..
please dont forget to bring a universal adaptor..better to bring an umbrella...a mug if you need..along with what the sunil told in the video.
If you come to London, dont worry about transport..24 hours...later when settled you can buy a car..
But in outer London car is a necessity...
