@@OffLeashK9TrainingofOklahoma hi, i live in the uk would it be possible for you to give me some tips on how you achieve your results? I have a 5 month old american bully and want to train him like this
Great job! BRTs are the best! Enjoyed your video. one thing though, you might want to let his hair grow out, Black Russians have an undercoat that regulates their temperature in both cold and heat. I can go for all day hikes with mine while a lab or other dog will tap out because of the heat. When you shave or cut the undercoat it prohibits the temperature regulation.
@@OffLeashK9TrainingofOklahoma Black Russian Terrier have HAIR not fur. It constantly grows throughout the life of the dog so they DO need some trimming however if the dog was matted the groomer would’ve shaved the dog down to get rid of the mats.
Thank you so much!! We appreciate you watching our videos and commenting! If you ever need training, let us know! I can help you find a local Off Leash if you're not in Oklahoma.
@@OffLeashK9TrainingofOklahoma I had a very similar problem with my mom's adopted Great Dane 14 years ago. The trainer did not use your technic so it was an epic failure. I KNOW better now! Thank you for the video!
Seriously considering this breed as my nest prospect breed as my Multipurpose SD. I know they can be great for it, but I've also seen the Giant Schnauzer, the BRT is bigger, but have you interacted with both breeds? And if so, what were the pros, cons, similarities, differences, I've seen teams use both breeds, ur opinions on both? 1 vs the other? I've been researching for a long time for my next prospect and I've narrowed to down to those 2🥰🥰
Would you suggest this breed to someone with a lot of goodwill and time to spend, but at his first experience with dog training? That someone it's me :D greetings from Spain!
Absolutely! You said two things that are so important...you have goodwill and time to spend! Perfect! You do want to have the resources for formal training too. And hello from Oklahoma!!
Beautiful boy
What a great boy Yuri! Love and respect from Samara, Russia. Way to go, Oklahoma! :)))
Thank you!!

I am really considering a BLACK RUSSIAN TERRIER. They seem to be an amazingly clever animal. Definitely not for 1st time dog owners.
Orlando FL Offleash K9 trained my Black Russian Terrier to be my mobility service dog

Thank you Justin! Yes! I agree. I'm not sure why she had to shave Yuri but he came to training that way.
He may have been super matted...

Not true
Great job training! I find it so difficult to train my BRTs after owning them for most of my life. Every dog is different, though. Great video, still!

We've trained a lot of Giant Schnauzers! I think this is the only BRT that we've trained. You don't see them as often or at least we haven't!
Wonderful dog, but why you shaved him so much? He needs some fur for protection❤
Do you train teenagers?
HAHA!
Aww they had 2 BRTs! Cant have just one BRT, is the saying in the Breed!

just to let you know pets are not allowed into stores. it poses a risk to service dogs and their handlers
You're right! We only go into the stores that welcome us.
Lowe’s is actually pet friendly! :)
Lowes, Home Depot and Ace Hardware as re dog friendly in the USA
This is how a Karen parks her dog, right on the middle of a street.
