Hi Kristina and Mindaugas! It was so much fun to meet you earlier this evening and to talk about the yachts we like. What I’m wondering is, are all people from Lithuania as attractive and intelligent as you are? And to think we got to wave goodbye to Laura and Sander on Guppy as well. A very special evening. Thanks very much Rick and Carolyn, that was great. Very comprehensive and it gave me a much better idea of how I might ‘fit’ if I’m ever fortunate enough to own my very own Exploration 45. By the way Rick, how did you know I have a beautiful wife (indeed more beautiful than I) who happens to be the perfect height to fit the galley!? Thanks again, it’s much appreciated. One day when you’re thinking of a new video idea, I’d be interested in your ‘all round’ thoughts of the boat now you’ve lived with it for a good while, any disappointments maybe annoyances. Hi Rick and Carolyn, Many thanks to you both (and especially Carolyn for some fine cinematography) for the great videos. Kate and I are a bit concerned about the apparent lack of book storage. Could you share where your books, charts and other reference materials are kept? I also haven't seen what the under-bunk storage looks like in the aft cabin. Could you share? Also, I second Simon's request about a video of loves and 'wishes' for how Snow Gum is set up.
Hi Sean. Hi Kate. ‘I don’t need no books, magazines or ‘cycopedies.’ Kate will get that. 😄 There is an option to have a magazine rack under the nav station, but we deleted it and I’m glad we did. It would always be in the way of our feet and impede access to the electrical stuff behind the hatch to starboard of the footwell. For book storage, behind one of the sofa cushions would be a good spot. We did a video of the storage under the port aft cabin berth. Geez, keep up! 😊 I’ll edit in a link to that in a sec. I'm 197 cm and sent a request to my local dealer regarding head room. They thought I would have head room in a Allures 45.9. BUT they could tell me the long waiting lists for Garzia and Allures. These boats are not an option to buy a new one anymore ... :P
Mats, at 197cm you need to come to Australia and play Australian Rules Football. You could be a star full-forward. And when you retire from that you could buy a Garcia Exploration 60. Isn’t it interesting how a global pandemic has led people to get on with what they want to do with their lives?
For some customers the waiting period fits in with their personal plans. For example, they have to wait three years before retiring or adjusting their business. 🙂
