Hej Todderbert, thanks for the bandscans. The Realistic DX-360 looks really nice. I would love to have a Realistic radio, so I'll look for one and see what's out there. It would be really nice to add a Realistic radio to my radio collection. Take care Todderbert and have a nice evening in Chicago.
Todderbert finally a radio I remember selling when I worked at Radio Shack in the late 1980’s. I found it to be inferior to my Sony 2010 and Sony 7600D plus my National Panasonic DR 2800, and as Radio did not pay well this radio was not for me…😂! Besides the radio did not have a digital dial….fast forward to 2024 and I am ordering a Xhdata D-220 radio…😂😂😂😂! Now if they still have the shortwave stations still broadcasting when the DX-360 was new. On an unrelated note I am missing a $20 bill, could swear just like the one you showed…😂…I think Ironman snatched it…😮! 73! Have a great day!
There have been quite a few nights with strange AM band conditions in the last few weeks. What as so far been your furthest DX catch? For me, it was KOA 850 from Denver, and that was back in 1991. Also, I picked up WWGZ 1530 from Laipeer, Michigan. I have no idea about the power, but I do know they have to sign off at night because of WCKY. WWGZ is a small town station, so I can’t imagine it operating at great power. I picked WWGZ up over Christmas time during the pandemic.
That looks like such a fun little radio. I've always kind of wanted one of those but could not ever come up with an excuse for yet another radio, yeah I know there's always a want for one more, but for the price I just had to resist. Nothing against it though, again it does look like a fun little radio.
Not to keep going on and on but; I'm really surprised that you're not a boombox kind of guy. I'd be willing to bet you'd love an old school blaster. Yes, they take up a lot of space and are beyond outdated, but some of them sound really good, and they sure are fun to play with. GE made a few that have Superadio tuners in them that work just as well as the SR1 and 2 only with much bigger and stereo sound. I know that you've never demonstrated one on here, but I can't help but be curious; do you own any boomboxes, and are you interested in them at all? It seems that they would be right up your alley.
Space is the thing right now. Possibly in the future, I may get a few of them. I have one of those small style boomboxes (slim) but the decks are shot.

I love my old analog radios, they'll be around for a long time to come. Thanks for sharing this old gem Todd
I hope so, this one requires maintenance for sure :)

The DX-360 was my very first shortwave radio back in high school!
Good Times!
Enjoyed this !
Great video, I miss the old Radio Shack catalogs, browsing at all the cool radios like this one.

50kW or less, CBK 1025 Miles, 50kW Plus Cuba, and a Mexico Station out to over 1800 miles.
880 AM WHSQ stands for Hudson Square
Now if ESPN stations would only ID more than once a day so I would know which city it is broadcasting from…😢!
Have a great day!

I have the RadioShack DX-396 (LED screen) which is in mint condition. I love it but don't use it.
I thought Realistic was a Radio Shack brand. Thanks for the confirmation.
