Fun facts: Trex is a WPC (wood-plastic composite). The base materials are wood sawdust and plastic film (Trex is the largest consumer of plastic bags in the country!). Hi. Does Trex fencing have a metal post?! My city HOA community fence changed to a metal post-only. If is a wood post, my city said they'll demolish the entire fence 🥶🤯😱😳🥺😵😖. Stupid rule. Does trex fence have in Texas too?
I'm having a home built in Oklahoma and doing my due diligence on fencing. I came across Trex Fencing at Home Depot, but I wanted to find info on how it handles hail. Being in a region that has hail weather, I wanted to find any info, but none to be found. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Any fence material is likely to be affected by hailstones. However, the density and thickness of Trex fencing makes it much less likely to break than plastic fences like PVC or vinyl and it won't splinter like wood. Having said that, hail stones may mar the surface of the fence if the hail is big enough.

how do you do an odd distance between the post if the pickets need to be cut to fit perfectly?
The best method is to pull the pickets tight, then space the two before the last picket that is screwed to the post. These "floating pickets will be attached using trim head nails or screws.
