Kiana was the one light who reached out when she was overcome by the suffocating darkness that almost ended Mei. If you know what happened with Mei before the events of HI3rd, you would know she was suffering emotionally so bad, she tried to kill herself. Kiana would NOT let that happen, and saved her when nobody else could or would. This is assuming the world "Acheron" comes from had at first the same storyline as HI3rd's world, but went dark, more than HI3rd did. HI3rd we at least got our happy ending to Part 1 and Part 1.5. Acheron's past, things likely turned to the worse with no hope

No, Acheron's world is clearly based off PE, and she's even closer to Kevin(or at least refers to him more than anything towards Kiana). She definitely still redeems herself, since unlike with Kevin, who she could only kill, she "kills" Caelus, but it's only in a dream, and she can help him back up.

Never played HI3rd but it’s really neat with all these references and stuff from it in HSR. Really nice touch and I can tell it has a lot of meaning for those who did play HI3.
Well never forget that Honkai impact 3rd is a sequel to Honkai Gakuen which explains that there are many different worlds with same people but they are different from each other. currently from the active games we have the same character in 3 different games. The OG Raiden Mei that we know from Honkai impact 3rd, Raiden Shougun from Genshin impact which almost look like her but its a different person not to forget she also had a sister which is still a mystery who might've being more closer to the OG one and then we have Acheron which is also the same character but from a different world that led different life with tragedy of her own to make her who she is now. Fun fact if Welt exists in Honkai star rail that means the OG Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd odyssey should exist as well so we might meet her in the future.
Honkai Impact is NOT Houkai Gakuen's sequel💀 It's just a separate world. Just like Genshin and Star Rail are separate worlds, they're not in the same world, just the same universe.

I guess I knew it was probably the case, but as a non-HI3 player, it means so little to me, which is unfortunate. But I'm glad for the HI3 players. I can't possibly imagine playing through HI3 for the lore, but maybe I'll watch a recap video or something.
My hypothese is : this is mei from honkai impact , in an alternate time line where she fail to prevent the herrsher of void to take over and erase kiana's existance completly . HOV recover every herrsher core and become the herrsher of the end then procceed to exterminate every humain with her army of honkay beast (almost all human goes extinct) with the help of the remaining human alive she create the sword of origine then engage in the final battle with Hoe . The fight end by the defeat of Hoe and mei being the last survivor . She attempted to end her life by trowing herself into the quantum see (she couldn't kill herself the normal ways because of her power) but ended up in the world of honkai star rail
Honestly, besides the fact this quest was great, it also convinced me to experience further suffering by downloading hi3 since, besides the fact they're both "Honkai," the rumor I heard that hoyo is gonna start "experimenting" with the multiverse. I want to experience the story so that i might also get both references and any moments very similar to the hi3 story like this one. Also after playing the first bit of 3rd and getting a gist of what "Honkai" is, I'm wondering if Honkai exists in Star Rail in some form.

My hypothese is : this is mei from honkai impact , in an alternate time line where she fail to prevent the herrsher of void to take over and erase kiana's existance completly . HOV recover every herrsher core and become the herrsher of the end then procceed to exterminate every humain with her army of honkay beast (almost all human goes extinct) with the help of the remaining human alive she create the sword of origine then engage in the final battle with Hoe . The fight end by the defeat of Hoe and mei being the last survivor . She attempted to end her life by trowing herself into the quantum see (she couldn't kill herself the normal ways because of her power) but ended up in the world of honkai star rail

Honestly, besides the fact this quest was great, it also convinced me to experience further suffering by downloading hi3 since, besides the fact they're both "Honkai," the rumor I heard that hoyo is gonna start "experimenting" with the multiverse. I want to experience the story so that i might also get both references and any moments very similar to the hi3 story like this one. Also after playing the first bit of 3rd and getting a gist of what "Honkai" is, I'm wondering if Honkai exists in Star Rail in some form.
and if you need further dose of Honkai. Try playing Houkai Gakuen (GGZ), or just watching the story in YT. It is the uncensored/unfiltered full depresso game haha. Btw it is still ongoing up to now, tho global server already ded.
