Kiana was the one light who reached out when she was overcome by the suffocating darkness that almost ended Mei. If you know what happened with Mei before the events of HI3rd, you would know she was suffering emotionally so bad, she tried to kill herself. Kiana would NOT let that happen, and saved her when nobody else could or would. This is assuming the world "Acheron" comes from had at first the same storyline as HI3rd's world, but went dark, more than HI3rd did. HI3rd we at least got our happy ending to Part 1 and Part 1.5. Acheron's past, things likely turned to the worse with no hope

Raiden Bosenmori Mei can technically be written as Raiden B. Mei just like how they did Peter B. Parker. If you think about it, both are similar in terms of their struggles. Both are depressed, lost someone they loved and at a low point in their life. They also have more experience compared to their prime counterparts. Though I'm hoping for this Mei to improve her life just like how Peter B did.

No, Acheron's world is clearly based off PE, and she's even closer to Kevin(or at least refers to him more than anything towards Kiana). She definitely still redeems herself, since unlike with Kevin, who she could only kill, she "kills" Caelus, but it's only in a dream, and she can help him back up.

No, Acheron's world is clearly based off PE, and she's even closer to Kevin(or at least refers to him more than anything towards Kiana). She definitely still redeems herself, since unlike with Kevin, who she could only kill, she "kills" Caelus, but it's only in a dream, and she can help him back up.
