Call me crazy but this is way more entertaining than a flawless victory, I beat this last night after losing around 50 times and was looking for a video to illustrate the fight. Well wishes!
I did it with a double trigger build running two Ludlows, HI-16 and VVC-770LB on the back. Burn down the shield, hit with the charged sword, switch to Ludlows and try to stagger a second time before the shield goes back up. Took some work, but I got there with just 392 AP left.
I used double rocket launchers and and plasma shoulder cannon (2 shot) and the double rocket pack launcher on the other shoulder. Barely won with a tank build but after a while I was dodging the fire attack by dodging forward to go under his attack and pointblank rocket launcher him.
I used double missiles on shoulders, a laser rifle and the pulse blade. Took me about 7 times before I got used to its attack pattern. Then on my 2nd playthrough, I just lold. Laser lance, pilebunker, zimmerman and earshot lmao.
After 3 days, I finally beat him last night. I'd been a medium weight mech and switched to light components. Bubble gun to drain his shield and mastered dodging his missiles - he finally fell.
This is the strategy I've been using. Bubble gun, sword and twin missiles on the shoulders. I just need to git gud at dodging. I'll get him! [Edit] Got him.
@@willwoods7026 If you guys are having trouble, play with a lightweight build. They allow you to dodge immediately after another dodge, and your innately higher movement speed makes dodging missiles infinitely easier. Oh, and good luck beating the Sea Spider without using a lightweight AC. You can't even avoid it's basic attacks.
A build that works for me is a medium weight tetrapod armed with a gatling gun, pile bunker, and twin songbird shoulder grenade launchers. Stick close to it during phase 1 while blasting it, then for phase 2 get high enough and hover to avoid its floor blast then keep distance when it starts beyblading repeat phase 1 tactics and boom dead spider.
@@The_Big_JayI just went with a tank/stagger build. Then either kept distance and stagger, or rammed it and blasted it in the face. The spider wasn't so hard after that.

So did I after losing track of how many times I lost to this thing
True, op builds make the game boring and then you have all the people calling it easy xd
@@pairedformula8920 it sucks to just brute force the boss with overwhelming firepower
@@MEGABUMSTENCH yeah totaly man, im doing balteus melee shotgun on a lightweight build, jumping leg, and the fight is SO INTENCE MAN ITS CRAZY
Props Yo! This has to be the first I have seen someone beating him without using double beam cannons and double shotguns.
I mean sure but this won't be the first fight as he has access to things you don't get to literally right after the fight lol

Thanks for uploading an accurate fight. I’m tired of seeing these S-Tier builds beat him in 10 seconds to flex.
I like to rewatch this video a lot, you showcased the battle well and did great with your skills and weapons, Balteus is my fav boss of all time

Now THIS is the balteus fight I was looking for.
This is a good video for showing people what the fight is actually like, so props for that.
That last shot was awesome!
3:51 Core memory
6 months later and I still got PTSD from the this fight. I'm so sad they nerfed him now.
Dodging that entire first missile volley was pretty impressive
The finish was BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This looks very fun, what is your build?
Kinetic weapons only gang (no Shotguns, miniguns, songbirds)
I’m struggling on this one got him down to like less then 1/4 health couple times I’m always knocking on deaths door by the time I get him low health
it's a tough boss for sure, i'd say that is one of the hardest in the game.
after losing to him hundreds of times, I found your video. What weapons were you using here?
Gawd damn, this is the hardest fucking thing 😂
i was using the curtis linear rifle and the xuan-ge bazooka
