Much respect for this man, a true car enthusiast like myself, will never sell my Evo either, I would drive this over any Italian or German exotics.

I drive an Evo X and I will never let my car go until the day I have a son and pass it down to him :)
Bought an Evo 9 and ive sold it after 2 yrs with mods, bought an STI after and sold it after 6 months then I bought a 911 turbo, and Ive never looked back after that.

man thats so cool. my evo 9 story is so much like his. i saw a yellow evo 8 add and i told myself i would get that car one day. i still have that add. i also plan on keeping my evo and handing it down to my son one day

Don't do it BMW fall apart after 100,000 miles. Don't get me wrong I like BMW's but I would only lease them.

I love my evo, had it for 4years now, couple of reasons im thinking of changing are: want to experience a new platform (inline6 RWD), never owned euro, more modern, more subtle (less attention from cops/theives).. dont think ill keep it for as long as 100k miles anyway =\. my evos hit nearly 100k miles too =\ .. still runs as good as ever though lol
I feel you! Just make sure you put some money away just in case the 135i brakes down. The one we coved on cars onboard is a good friend of mine and he has had nothing but problems. Bad turbos, Injectors, taillight and also 3 times the serpentine belt came off and his car is not one in a million with theses problem do your homework and you will see. I just don't want you to regret it later. I don't want to rain on your parade I just want to give you a heads up good luck!
+CARS ONBOARD 135i isnt set in stone yet but it is a platform i am really looking for.. as you have mentioned, and i have been scoping the forums, they do seem to be quite problematic lol ! i will def do my research and make my decision accordingly.. the last thing i want is a money pit and regrets ! thanks for the replies !
Had to get a wrx because these are stil so expensive and so is insurance..in 3 or 4 years I still plan on getting one.

What made you pass up the 10 for a 9?
CobraVirus the X was a great handling car,and on long trips it was great,but alot of lancer were always driving around,didn't make the evo stand out and I have a family car and the 9 feels like a go kart of raw power,better for fun a sprint driving.
From what i've been reading, the 10 seems like the better car overall; but like you said, if you want a race car, the previous gens are more suited for that.

cuz they have a 15 year import rule, r32 and r33 are here but u barely see them, also in Canada right hand vehicles are difficult to get insured
