Fable is literally one of, if not my favourite game series of all time, still hoping to this day for either a remaster or a new game, and I still use these old exploits
Okay you don't have to shutdown every time, here's a faster way to do it: After you've disconnected and done the full shutdown: reload the game and wait for cash to poll. step 2: SAVE AND CONTINUE. step 3: QUIT DON'T SAVE step 4: xbox button, quit fable 2. step 5: settings, change date forward one year. (one is maximum) step 6: reload game. Entire process takes 1 minute total per round. Rinse and repeat.
Found a way to manipulate money by changing timezones back and forth when i open up the game. It’s great if you’re having those “cannot load game cuz ur offline” type of situation.
August 10th 2019: Still Works. Simplified instructions by step (Assuming you already have property owned and rented out) 1. Go Offline 2. Full Shut Down 3. Turn Xbox On 4. Change date to 1/1/2005 5. Load your fable 2 save 6.save and quit. 7.completely close app 8. Change date to 12/31/2025 9. Load fable 2 save game, wait for income. 10. Completely close app Repeat from step 4 Buy and rent out additional property for greater income. The Xbox 360 date/time settings could only go as far back as 2005 and as far forward as 2025. Any date change beyond those yields inconsistent results.
@@alondrabrowning2652 you must turn it to offline, shut it down, and restart. Then make sure ut is still offline when you restart. Ive done it 4 times so far and its working on XboneX
When you set the time back if you back out of the clock after putting time back you can go back farther. I was able to set mine all the way back to 1320
I remember I did this years ago on 360, back then it involved unplugging the wireless adapter from the back of your Xbox then changing time and date, plug it back in and then load up fable, then you'd have double your money. A lengthy process for today, but back then it was worth it.
I'm doing this in 2021 and every time after I get the money, save and quit, I go back to the time and more dates show up so I can push it back further without shutting down the system or reseting back to current year, and it works just the same
Nice work my dude. If people are saying it doesnt work with gamepass it does. Simply set your home xbox to your xbox and it will work when you go offline.
For people playing Fable II in 2022. Like he showed but this time instead of setting back the time you can actually go back to Online. Log back into Fable and this also works as well and then Saving and Continuing, Exit App for Fable then back to Offline set back however for back you can go and repeat.
You have to make this Xbox your home Xbox in settings-general-personalization-my home xbox. In order to switch your clock you must have the Xbox set as Home Xbox and be in offline mode.
After doing the first part of the video go to time settings and change year from 2018 to 1918, started up the game/load/wait to get the money then save and quit. When title screen shows, go to home screen and quit Fable 2. Go to settings again and change the year back another 100, 1918 to 1818. Start up Fable 2 and load and you'll get another large sum of what you own. Then just save and quit and go back another 100, 1818 to 1718. Basically repeat the method. 1 - Buy house/shop boost rent/prices to 100% 2 - Save and quit to title 3 - Go to home quit Fable 2 4 - Go to settings go offline and choose system restart 5 - Go to settings/date and time 6 - Change year from 2018 - 1918 (keep -100 every time) 7 - Start, load, wait to get your money Basically from this point repeat steps 2,3,5,6,7. You don't have to restart or shutdown your system more than the first time. Its what works for me.
I broke my game with this, after 4.8 it stopped telling me how much I had and boom my game freezes every now and then buy I love it still , just got past the spire time to spend again
No longer working as of 4.28.2021. I have Xbox Ultimate and it asked me to go online and sign-in in order to play which updates the time/date and defeats the purpose of this glitch.
Still works August 30 2020. Just follow his instructions to the letter. Less simpler than it was back in the day. Have to do it now since there’s no bubble that blesses you with a random $2 million anymore.
Make sure you've set your Xbox One as your Home Xbox. I was having the same issue and changing this setting under "Settings > General > Personalization > My home Xbox" when you're online should fix the problem.
I tried this a few times and it’s not working but I saw something in the comments about being your own home Xbox, but my husbands Xbox is set as my home Xbox so only one of us has to have gamepass. Is it possible that this is the problem?
Yeah i get mixed responses to this problem as i've had some say it does work on game pass and some that it doesn't, don't understand the mixed consistency. I have heard that you need to uninstall any DLC though as that can affect it
****this glitch does still work on Xbox One S (physical disc) as of 06/21/21**** Also, you do not have to restart the xbox every time you do the glitch! After you did the glitch once, save and exit, go back to the time settings and change it back an additional 100 years (from 1921 to 1821) and repeat after every time you do the glitch.
Quick note for those that did what i did, set it to earliest then set it to the latest year, just move it up one year at a time bc the money stops coming in after a certain period of time. Idk when to just increase the years by 1 or 2 years

I think it’s more worth it to do the method that doesn’t work 100% of the time because that takes less than half the time it would normally take for the 100% method
I’ve not ran this on the xbox one, but something you can also do less it’s been patched out is buy a stall, buy all the stuff from the stall, then sell the stall and sell the stuff back. It requires a bit of money to start snowballing but is faster than waiting for the gold ticks.
try singing your profile in first then going to settings and network and go offline it should then work and you should still be able to sign profile in
So idk what happened with my game, worked fine for me earlier, now for some reason keeps telling me to log in to the account that owns the game or has the subscription to play it free, which I am, I own it, and also have both the EA Play Subscription, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription....Was gonna do it again as I was short on cash and trying to fix my characters alignment from evil to good, went evil for the expressions due to some of the statues, specially that one in the cemetery with the Threaten expression.

hummm interesting i wonder because your using a disc instead of a digital version it needs a connection to verify the content i know it works for digital. you defo set yourself offline within the settings don't just disconnect your internet that wont work. also i may be your disc reader or disc itself the game should be backwards compatible on disc too strange
Yeah it seems to effect some people I don’t have this happens so I can’t even work out a fix for it :( it should be still working are you going offline on the console? Don’t actually turned off your router or anything
For anyone finding they can't launch Fable II in offline mode, make sure you're setting your Xbox One as your Home Xbox. This is under Settings > General > Personalization > My home Xbox. You have to change the setting when you're online, but you should be able to launch the game afterward.

Also I do need a small help with Fable 2, I am done with the Bowerstone Cemetery mansion quest and I am done with the game as well, bought the Fairfax castle and finished its quest too. BUT the cemetery mansion is bugged for me in the sense its not showing the Property papers next to the door and I cant buy the mansion. Any other way to fix this or should I have to restart?
wow its been a while since i played it fully, i've got a feeling that you may get that through a mission tho i'm not totally sure. As for Fable 3 again its been a while since i played but i've got another feeling there was a trick for it i'll have to play it again to find out and also if it would work on the Xbox One
For fable 3: The best I could do was get the first 10 silver keys ASAP because teh silver chest in Brightwall village contains 50k gold and requires 10 keys. After getting the Pack for buying houses on the ROR, you can straight away buy and rent out houses with the 50k gold. This way you wont have to go through any grueling Jobs. Made 10million even before the game was half finished.

I know you said this won't work if you have any DLC installed (Why is that anyway) but will it work if you just have the free DLC installed? Cause I don't have the paid DLC
I think 2021 finally fixed this. Can't play it offline backwards compatible on the xbone anymore. When you try it says "Cannot load save. This game was created with different downloadable content."
Edit: Only if you don’t have it on your save file. If you have a save file with dlc, just uninstall the dlc, start a new game (oof), then do the glitch
Still works October 2022. And you *don't* have to full restart after each time. I went to Jan 1 1950 then loaded game in offline mode and saved then exited. Reopened game then bought and rented some houses then Saved and exited game. Then changed the time 1 year forward and loaded game and waited till the money popped up then saved and exited. Then one year forward and repeat.

What if you didn't have the dlc when starting the game out? Do I need to start a new profile?
If you want to do this don’t have ANY dlc stuff connected it will not work with dlc connected to it.

If you have a issue with game saying save can't be loaded because it has dlc make sure its your home console. That fixed it for me

I have the S but it only lets me get fable through Game pass so everything I log out I can’t open fable back up it asks me to sign into live

MotoBlizzard very late but if you have two controllers you can for Fable 3
This will not work on the Digital copy of Fable 2. Because you have to be connected online to play the game

This does not work if you have DLC enabled, if you have ever loaded your save with DLC you cannot load it while in offline mode.
You need to set your xbox as your home or own the game yourself if its already your home.
@@jimmyjams5038 what will that do? I can boot the game, I'm using the disc. But if you disconnect from Xbox live it doesnt load the DLC and it says "this save relys on content that is no longer available"

For some reason I dont have to shutdown system I can just change date open game get $ then save and close game and change date then repeat

I think 2021 finally fixed this. Can't play it offline backwards compatible on the xbone anymore. When you try it says "Cannot load save. This game was created with different downloadable content."

Doesn’t work if you have any of the dlc installed.
Edit: Only if you don’t have it on your save file. If you have a save file with dlc, just uninstall the dlc, start a new game (oof), then do the glitch

Still works October 2022. And you *don't* have to full restart after each time. I went to Jan 1 1950 then loaded game in offline mode and saved then exited. Reopened game then bought and rented some houses then Saved and exited game. Then changed the time 1 year forward and loaded game and waited till the money popped up then saved and exited. Then one year forward and repeat.
Can confirm this works in november 2020. Also i only did a full shutdown once and just kept changing the times.
Did you expect time to patch the game after 10 years when this vid was made?
