- BJP’s Hyderabad Lok Sabha candidate landed in trouble after she asked burqa-clad women to lift their veil to apparently verify their identity. AIMIM complained to the Election Commission over the incident. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the opposition after National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said that Pakistan was not wearing bangles. On other hand, the Supreme Court rejected a plea seeking to remove Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from his post.
