The most accomplished jazz guitarist there has ever been. Seeing and hearing defies the senses. The skill level is stratospheric. There are no superlatives to adequately describe Pasquale's level of harmonic sophistication and ability. Thank you for gracing us mere mortals with your astounding gift to the world of jazz guitar and music making.
It's really exciting to be here to see how his style choices will develop over years. It's already very mature so it's really hard to predict where it will go from here
Excellent playing but as to the most accomplished… bull. You need to spend some time with Joe Pass. His accomplishments are far too great to mention here but, just to name a few ; His “ Virtuoso” album, playing with Oscar Pertersen, Ella Fitzgerald, all his solo work. One could spend years studying him. I know I have. And I’m willing to bet that if you ask Mr. Grasso, Joe was a big influence.
Just heard him with his trio on 9/11 with Samara Joy vocalist at the Tri C Jazzfest in Cleveland Ohio. They were the opening act. Incredible! Tough act to follow!
Quite astonishing! The next generation of young jazz guitarists in 2021. You are a musician whose career is in the ascendency, Pascuale. You are clearly already steeped in learning from past masters. All the very best in all that you do.🙏👍🇬🇧🙏
he's from another planet. his left hand reaches stretches and combinations forbidden to standard human beings. together with his musical genius is arguably the best jazz guitarist around, possibly the all time best. If I listen to that with my eyes closed I feel like there is more than one guitar playing.
Pasquale, Hello from Kansas City Missouri. That was an outstanding mix of what to my ears is the Joe Pass and Lenny Breau language or vocabulary. Again, outstanding performance and arrangement. Thanks.
Paisano, That is my favorite of all your videos. The olympian effort is there, but the melody was clean and easier to follow. I feel so fortunate to see your mastery of the guitar. You do things I can only imagine doing. I threw all my guitars in the garbage once again.. Joe DeNIsco
Mr. Grasso, i have a question for ya'. Do you feel that using the pick instead of the thumb gives you as an instrumentalist a diferent accent?. does the pick up and down gets closer to a sax kind of articulation, or it's a matter of practice? Thank you very much.
Nice try, your human disguise is almost perfect. But unfortunately you forgot something : your left hand shows clearly that you are not from the same specie than us.
He plays like a pianists. The way he approches improvising and harmony.
It's like listening to Art Tatum on guitar. Bravo!
The Art Tatum of the guitar.
Astonishing level of talent rarely seen in any generation.

man i think Pasqule is the Joe Pass of the 21st century out of this world
Uh, Pat Metheny?

Stunning!
what an elegant way of playing, it´s just beautiful.
Wow ! This musician sounds so beautiful and fantastic! 😎🎸
Simply breath and play. Your fingers will do it for you. No. You need to be a perfectionist as Pasquale Grasso.

Superb, beyond comprehension. 🏅
Dear God what a talent.
I listened to Art Tatum’s rendition, and what PG did here is absolutely amazing
My. God. What an absolute force of nature.

I got motion sickness watching this🤣sounds Incredible!!!
Magic sound man very very nice
Beautiful composition!
Beautiful !
Hi, as young jazz fellow, i have to say that you really captured my attention. Thanks! You play a very "human" guitar.
I meant to add that this is lovely too.
This guitar is just a beauty
Amazing.
Grandioso ed inarrivabile!
Grandissimo Pasquale, sempre più mostro!
Pasquale, Hello from Kansas City Missouri. That was an outstanding mix of what to my ears is the Joe Pass and Lenny Breau language or vocabulary. Again, outstanding performance and arrangement. Thanks.
Nice 😎
That hybrid picking is an impossible technique, yet you make it look easy.
Awesome ! ❤️👍🎶

Beautiful! Your arrangements are really inspiring for me ❤
Semplicemente Superbo 🇮🇹
Uno de los temas más hermosos! Con una interpretación excelente! Gracias Pasquale!
En algunos momentos conté 8 dedos en la mano izquierda! Este muchacho es un alien jazzero!
Bravo 👏🏽
Beautiful.♪
Da medaglia d'oro!
Чувак ну и жесть
Que lindo Mestre!
Incredibile!
Fantástico!
Genio !!!!
I used to use a foot stole, it seemed I had better posture and I was more intune with the instrument! I should go back to that 🤔!
Bravo!!!
tu és monstro!!!

+1 Joe!
@@RobMacKillop1 Thank You Rob!
Listen to Pasquale do this and then Ellington/Coltrane..... a worthy extra curricular activity....
Legendary guitarist

does the pick up and down gets closer to a sax kind of articulation, or it's a matter of practice?
Thank you very much.
You're my favorite guitar player after Lucas Brar, Sir.🙌
Is this the official video?
Birds are not singing when this music , they are listening too.
00:34
00:40
Reminds me of Joe Pass solo virtuoso playing
Not bad… not bad at all. :)
How about good...very good!
In gentleman delle sei corde
hand moves like a spider
Like#645
It seems to me that he moves his left hand like each of his fingers had its own brain
If I played that well i'd by-god wear a coat and tie too.
Sono molto curioso di sapere una cosa, se possibile. Quanto studio del pezzo ti serve per suonarlo così?
Absolutely ridiculous....😳😳
Nice try, your human disguise is almost perfect. But unfortunately you forgot something : your left hand shows clearly that you are not from the same specie than us.
That RH sure as hell isn’t from this species either … even more alien to me
solid classical technique and his love of Bud Powell, and be bop jazz!
His right hand technique is also very unique
Do you think Grasso ever uses guitar pedals?
His amp looks like it was made in the late 40's early 50's.
Grande Pasquale !!!
@@martinbreslow1401 yeah, looks like a vintage fender, maybe?
I've heard him say the only pedal he uses is the foot stool!
@@tite93 I think the amp is a late 40's/early 50's Gibson GA-50T
I don't like his super creepy hand movements. not fluid at all. Plays like a preying mantis
