Perceptions is about young people that live on a council estate, perceived to outsiders as “hoodies”. In the face of much negative press and stereotypes two teenagers are inspired by an English lesson at school to use their initiative to change the outlook on the St Raphael’s Estate in North London with the use of spoken word poetry.

Awesome. My great Aunt lived on that estate many years ago and she was mugged on it too. I'm sure she'd be happy to see this if she was alive today. This is the realest shit of the UK not the made up tosh like BBC Eastenders. The UK can learn a lot from this video.

Love this! This was a walk down memory lane 4 me. Lansbury close! Oh my! It was mad back 8n the 80's, in so many messed up ways but I can't help but remember the good times as well. So glad to see the positive from the youngens! Keep it going. Positivity is positively contagious. No 12 Lansbury.... Devlin!

I'm from Peckham....I wish my hood done something like this!! I'm 32 and I know about Northwest and your St.Raphael's Estate and Chalk hill was a 'no go' back in da day. I used to go up Harlseden doh to Stonebridge and Church end and everyone in South knows about Northwest... I just feel like there's just not enough of this positivity around Londons estates to push this type of "thinking" into the younger generation. But big up anyway to you guys for doing this. Brraaaapppp!!!!

I use to go to st raphs as a kid in the 90's had a lot of family and good times on that estate and the youth club. I have to say this is the best thing out of NW, not just some music video with cars, jewels,girls and cloths that most ppl and youts on these kind of estates can afford, so they think shotin food is the only way. I don't know who the ppl are behind this piece of work but it's absolutely amazing and it's really on the blocks not some fake set up estate, this my ppl really is the hood and still is, don't get this little movie all twisted and think st raphs is some nice area where you can go like some tourist asking for autographs 😂😂😂
