I believe the results could be greatly improved with a refined prompt. In this video, I aim to showcase how AI can assist us with site analysis, though it doesn't fully capture the extent of AI's capabilities. I love sketching, researching, and rendering, but I also embrace the new era of AI, which can save us a lot of time and allow us to think more deeply about our designs, ultimately helping us create better projects.
Thank you for sharing this. I think the video was of amazing quality. Did you use AI for the script? If so, could you share some tips?
@@francisco444 I write the script myself, but I use ChatGPT to check grammar for me.
Ok, found 50-60 buildings. Now do it for greater London. Not so fun for someone to spend a month or more doing this, and AI won’t care and do it in five minutes.
I’m so jealous right now. I graduated in 2019, after massive AI release & update, but still thankful that I can utilize it in other areas.
It will not make you think faster, but it will give you your results faster and next thing we know is that clients expect that efficiency in all projects. AI does not create extra time for the designer but less cost for the client.
U hate ai ?
@@aluphshahim5808 No, but I°m just not ready to get married to it yet
That depends on how you bill your client
@@diydaydream that dependence has two scenarios: 1. You are the only landscape architect in the world 2. You are not the only landscape architect in the world.
The first scenario is ideal for implementation of AI into your projects. Billing is easy, specify at will. The second scenario is a little bit more tricky
@@jonakason4451 The first scenario is hypothetical but the latter one is reality. The majority of the clients will go for efficient and cost-effective service. If you have crafted a niche in the market to offer handmade services... Good for you !!!!. Otherwise good luck
AI definitely already replaced voice over actors:)
Yeah that’s ashamed
Thank you for your optimistic approach! Here is a food for thought. The experience regarding the materialization of projects will gain much more importance and if you can integrate this information with construction experience it can be a very solid business strategy.
Thank you for the update! I am currently working on a lecture that integrates AI into the process of architectural design. Please stay tuned.
This was pretty interesting just from the standpoint of a business use case outside of the standard 'send email', 'processes/analyze spreadsheet' . This could be very useful for land developers who bid on various city and county developer jobs
That mind map app is awesome
Awesome explanation & workflow!
which voice to text tools, did you use for this video?
elevenlabs
The main park is Mudchute Park, adjacent to Millwall Park (the former Millwall football ground). I've played with ChatGPT 4o, and like the last iterations, it needs to be more accurate to be confident without spending time checking answers. I lived on the Isle of Dogs (1982-4) and knew the area well; it missed any history of the region, especially the 1980s redevelopment. The mind maps are very generic.
I use AI to check spelling and grammar (as a dyslexic), and that's about it, as its hallucinations (guessing and putting the guess as a factual answer) mean it can't be trusted.
The output is only as good as the input, and a great deal of poor information exists. Like the graphic stuff in Adobe, though.
Thanks, and sorry to be so dismissive as a Landscape Architect.
Thank you so much for pointing out the issue in the video. I also mistakenly thought that area was called Millwall Park based on Google Maps. GPT can sometimes provide general or imprecise answers, so we still need to rely on our own judgment. I appreciate your correction.☺️
You gave me some answers to my own sceptical comment. AI is clearly a potentially transformational technology, but I must admit I am constantly disappointed when the results I am getting from the various LLMs I tried do not nearly live up to my expectations. My biggest issue is trust - I cannot rely on the quality of the answers I am getting. If I spot one hallucination, there may be more that I cannot spot. As a consumer, rather than software engineer, I will sit back and await developments.
I think your spot in. The models today are good for generic high level tasks. Like helping with brainstorming or project overviews. It’s also good for tasks that need knowledge rather than reasoning. Like programming simple utilities or helping with excel formulas etc.
@@byrnemeister2008 Exactly so. But I can sense where the journey is going - if development speed remains exponential, maybe we’ll see sci-if quality personal assistants at home and on our i-phones soon. That be cool.
Thanks for some ideas. I haven’t thought of some these uses and will try them out. I imagine these will improve over time. I do have the pay version and worth every penny for me
Love the movement 🙏🏾🇯🇲 Im learning so much from this channel about Hydroposnics and using sustainable agriculture to grow agriculture in the community 🫶🏽Continue sharing these blessing with the youths 💪🏾 #Lagooonavibes
Generating the building outline had me hopeful that domething concrete would come out of this. That was quickly dashed. Where is the finished design? Outside of the one drawing, I only saw a list of things that every professional already knows like the back of hand. It definitely dropped the ball.
Thank you for sharing please make more videos like this. I have found this as a very insightful and innovative so I will be making your process going forward. Thank you again I appreciate you…
Thank you!
@@LandSpaceArchitecture your welcome keep up the amazing work 🫡🌎💜
This is great! You’ve suggested some really creative ideas for how to use AI as part of a spatial/visual thinking workflow.

Great tool! Thanks for sharing with us
Glad you liked it!
thank you this was very helpful
Thank you!
Very usefull
awesome video
Thank you so much!
I don't see that ChatGPT 4 o was used in this video. Instead of ChatGPT, it should say ChatGPT 4 o in the top left corner.
hi I'm using the free limits on ChatGPT 4o.
i love your channel.
Thank you!
I wonder if a language model is really doing what is mentioned. It's just statistics behind it. Guessing what is mostly said. I would want you to do this whole thing twice and than look at the differencte in outcome.
Super!
thx
Has anyone tried it out?
1:58 ? GOOGLE WHY ? BOLLABB? WHAT?? IDK

For most cities, the question is not what needs to be done, but how to finance it.😢
Whether it will be financed or not depends mostly on your presentation!
working on adobe for an architect is extremely useless. A vector file must be DWG, not collada. Children who use Lego from 3 to 6 years old can play with collada. Do I have to switch to plus for these things?
Don't see any recommandation in this AI suggestion than can not be think by a professional human in less than 5 minute of site analysis... I would believe it can help only if I see it suggest Idea that would come to mind of a professional urbanist after a month of site analysis ;)
I think this video would be better if it was narrated by a human. The AI lacks the variability of human speech and I found myself drifting off a few times. Also sometimes its statements do not seem to make sense, eg 2:16 “It appears to have traced everything in my aerial photo. But I suspect it may be due to the lack of precision in my prompt.”
More importantly, how do we know the AI’s (the generating AI, not the speaking AI) analysis of the aerial photo is correct? Did somebody check? For me, that is still an issue I am unsure about - would I trust the AI’s suggestions for a development plan enough to execute it in reality? Of course, AI is a tool, so I would not blindly believe it, sure, but how much human input is required before the results are actionable?
Get this in flight simulator
Nothing can improve Millwall. Its a dump, and always will be. Everyone hates Millwall, and they don't care.
oh no, why
I don’t think AI should be designing all this stuff. You’re just replacing peoples jobs. I want things designed by humans. I think you’re headed in the wrong direction.
I mean it's still created by humans bud, just using different tools. These tools have the potential to enhance the outcome. But yes, direct human input is and always will be valuable. They're not mutually exclusive as you're claiming.
Months worhh of work, done in minutes.
