So my Nonnie passed at 83, but up until her last days her makeup routine was:
Freshly brushed teeth
Moisturizer
Lipstick on lips
Lipstick on the apples of her face ( she would dab some on and then ***blend*** with her fingers)
Still gorgeous at 83.

I loved this! I'm in a madcap pace getting pies and tarts and jams ready for the Saturday Farmers market while getting my 11 yr old off to an overnight campout, driving my young teen daughter to her summer activities and... I still want to look like myself! This helped. I was inspired to use an spf serum foundation to protect my face, a cream blush stick I bought at Sally's beauty and tried your trick with a brown eyeliner. I'm a redhead, so this prevented washout from being mascara-less. I was makeupless yesterday and felt annoyed most of the day. There, you did a good deed for me. Thanks for the inspiration!

That lip color is GLORIOUS on you! 😍 For me, my one thing that I have to do before leaving the house is a brow pencil. Tarte makes a great dual-ended pencil & tinted brow gel that I LOVE. I never really used to do anything to my brows, but since hitting 40 & letting my hair go gray naturally, my brows have become almost translucent, especially on the outer half- I need a brow pencil now, because it makes me look less like a corpse! 🤣 So a nice taupe brow pencil really brings me back to life.

If I do nothing else - if I really don't have more than four minutes - eyeliner, blush, highlighter, and brows make make me look fresh (especially brows, because I almost don't have any). But I'm going to get that fantastic Buildable Blur for those rare times that I have FIVE minutes.

This is really helpful, even though I am not quite the target audience - I don’t know how to do any make up and am not really one to buy and maintain all the brushes and sponges etc used for it😅 so I will definitely be trying the techniques shown with blending using the fingertips and with minimal product 😊
