GREEN FEED FOR CHICKENS

We have winter chickens ahead of us and the need for green feed has emerged for our chickens. We also have space. I planted barley in a corner of our garden. When the barley reaches one inch tall, I will leave the chickens in this area. I plan to leave the chickens here from time to time before the chickens eat the barley completely. I'm thinking of waiting 10 days or so to let it grow again, then grow this barley and feed it to my chickens over and over again. In this way, I will also plant clover and our chickens will eat them in the winter and they will give us healthy eggs.
