- In this episode of GRUDGE RACE we have two rivals battling it out to prove who has the fastest steel body street car in America. Joe Barry in his '56 Chevy 210 Sport Coupe making 3,500 HP up against Larry Larson in his '66 Chevy Nova making 2,500 HP to finally find out who reigns supreme.
That was awesome two pros respecting each other and having fun and sharing it with us . How cool was that . Keep them coming
Larson has done an awful lot of winning in his time. A class act.

Man I skipped through this thing and realized it's just talk and more talk. Boring. The format needs to be reviewed
They did it on Pinks. Three runs in 30 mins. Given there were commercials in between
Awesome stuff, glad to see these guys square up again. Hope to see a rematch in the future
This seemed like it went for 27:79 m,minutes to race a 5.65 second race!!! I didn't have time or patience to watch it to the END!!!

Poor Joe. He's doing good to get 2 clean runs out of 10 in that '56. Whether driver error or mechanical (usually the latter), it's ALWAYS something that trips that car up.

Neither one of these is the fastest steel body street car in America. I’m pretty sure Steve Morris and his wagon can drive to any track in America and throw down a 6.0 pass.
This show was aired about 5 or 6 years ago. Steve’s car wasn’t built like it is now.
When these cars were in their prime, that Nova was hard to beat.

Just an FYI,if yall didn't already know, this will be the last year of racing at bandamere. Owner is closing down. Too much pressure from the brand new residents. Already 4000 houses slated for construction this spring across the highway from the track. And its too late, dont bother freaking out. The time for that is long past. Just enjoy the memories

Hard to beat the first 6 sec drag week street car. Larry has a lot of data on that car. Both are awesome drag cars though...
My dad and his camaro were in an episode filmed for this in 2018 or 19 but it never aired. Are these old recordings or newer?

@@johnbutler5729 Yessir,, Tom has steel roof and quarters BUT glass doors, trunk lid, hood etc., etc. He was the quickest with a 5:99 but not the fastest at HRM's Drag Week 2019. Dunno who's got the fastest now but Cleetus (Garrett Mitchell) took Mullet out the back door at 223 or 24 at one of the recent drag 'n drives. Mullett hasn't broke into the 5's yet,,,, but with the SMX powerplant perhaps that's not so far away. I really thought Joe would take the WIN but seeing Larry leave Joe at the light,, well,, the quickest RT took the title as the FASTEST STEEL CAR in the country,, until GRUDGE RACE invites someone else to go head to head with Larry,, or Joe again. Jeff Lutz just may be one to watch for cause he might want that title.

This doesn't really determine which car is the fastest. That is revealed by the timeslip....ET and MPH. This is really about which driver performed better in these particular races.

How can they be a Fastest Steel Car. That is old school. The cars should be naturally aspirated only.. We are building such a car right now. We would like a shot at it with a 72 Cuda Hemi car all steel and motor..
There's a reason that they don't show the times.
The tri five does not run 600 inches, neither car runs 600 inches. No one in the twin turbo class runs 600 inches without 5 inch bore spacing

Because the race is between them to car's an nobody else .. so I don't agree with the name of this video.. it shouldn't be who had the fastest in the country because there's a whole lot of other car's that I know for sure that's right there with those car's..

These cars are so far removed from actual street LEGAL cars it not realistic. Don't hate . just the truth .
There's no hate intended BUT that's just not so,, both have participated in a number of Drag 'n Drive's for years,, they ARE street legal hotrods and they've proven it.
In most states lexan windows are not dot legal at all. But you get what I'm talking about I'm not trying to be a jerk .
