Red Bull Tennessee Knockout 2024, Saturday Race 1

Clips from race 1. Go Pro ran out of battery, as did I. Finished just outside the two and a half hour cutoff, at 2hr 32min 51 sec, for 174th overall. Put me about 15 minutes slower than last year, but 68 places better in standings. If I could have just kept my clutch hand alive! Tons if fun, and a totally different riding experience than anything else I get to do. None of the video does justice to how steep these hills are in spots.
And next time, mounting the Go Pro higher!

No problem! You looked pretty pinned, I swear the video does no justice to the angle there. Nor of any of the hills. I watch this stuff and wonder why I can't go way, way faster.

Too bad the AMA makes you mount the camera on your chest.

Chin is for sure a good option. Chest can work really well, but I was worried about it bouncing around and flipped it upside-down under the USWE buckle. Add that to how much I sat and paddled through rocks and it made a very low view point. Too much gas tank! Standing it's OK, and flipped to be 3-4" higher on my chest is much better. Next time....
