A Clone Wars Gunship in the same shades of blue as the Dropship would be so incredible. I don't own either of them, so I would have the opportunity to build both at once.
I did have none of the pieces for gunship so I made my own with a function for 2 rods that can slip into the Atte and once I get the eye I’m gonna have fun!
Wow that's a damn cool mechanism! If you're making a gunship, a Clone Wars would be cool, with a door mechanism that allows to open both doors on one side at the same time. And great that you now also have a white background, I think that improves your video quality a little more.
@@ForgedinLego the 2013 gunship has a mechanism that allows for the doors to be opened from the back, but it only has half doors. Perhaps there's a way to make the second half of the doors open past the main doors as the doors open fully. Like a sliding shower door with a mechanism attached on top.
I love this so much! It’s perfect. From the UCS-inspired styling, to the efficiency of the Dropship mechanism. Great work! Once you start working on that Gunship (because we all know this video is gonna smash that 1K like threshold!!!), I’d like to see an Attack of the Clones design.
I just built one of these myself, what an absolute behemoth. It's huge and very sturdy. I especially love the technique used for the side paneling of the nose/spine in order to keep the body hollow for the cannon on the AT-TE. Super well done. As for the gunship, the clone wars variant is definitely my favorite, since the two doors gives the sides a sleek look!
I'm glad you like it! Keeping the cannon facing forward was one of the design requirements I set for myself, and it needed some creative interpretation to make it all work
@@jpearson274 I worry about that too, but LEGO bricks themselves can handle a lot of load. As for the set, it has no problem resting on top of the AT-TE. I've displayed it suspended from the cieling with fishing line via the handle and on the ground by sitting on top of the AT-TE, and neither methods have had a problem. Hope this helps!
This is the most impressive MOC I've ever seen! The build itself is really great, and with such an elegant, fun, simple to use mechanism, if you told me this was an official set, I'd believe you! Amazing work, you definitely have a future in LEGO design!

I bought and built this model. Very fun build and it wasn’t too difficult to follow the instructions. When can we expect the regular gunship to release? I would be very interested in add that to my collection as well
Hey I've recently finished building your model and the tan axles do not go all the way into the liftarms of the AT-TE, as soon as I tilt the Dropship a little, the AT-TE falls off. What might be the reason for this?
Make sure the pins are lined up with the holes, if they don't go all the way in its not propely locked. If that's not the problem it might be an internal gear misalignment. I'll be happy to help you get your dropship working, so don't give up hope!
When you pick up the dropship, the locking liftarms should be vertical and parallel, the magnetic clamps also shouldn't touch the AT-TE until it is fully locked. If both of those are aligned properly, just move the dropship around until they lock in place, you shouldn't need to push the trigger forward
@@ForgedinLego Thanks for your fast replies, the clamps seem to work just fine, as does the trigger, the only issue seems to be that the technic beams don't go all the way into vertical position. Are they really supposed to be perfectly vertical? Because that wasn't the case for mine even before I added the big gear in the back.
@@interstellar_bricks interesting. Is there a small gap between the trigger and the top fuselage? If not I would double check the pins and axles are in the right place seen on step 11
