THIS is Batman. Its not about him being a roof hopping, crime fighting multimillioner night crusader that makes him so appealing to young and mature audiences, but his vulnerability, his humanity and how closely it speaks about the human condition as a whole, and everything that comes with it; fear, doubt, exhaustion, despair. Yet he pushes through and musters the courage to keep putting on the cowl, even if all odds are stacked against him, its not a choice for him, but a mission to accomplish for the people he swore to protect. This is what being a man is about, which is what makes this character so great, its the MAN in Batman that touches us on a profoundly human level.

This batman helped me stay strong during my school years (elementary onwards). I felt so isolated without any friends, helpless against the bullies, unwanted by women, but when I'd get home and watch this cartoon, I suddenly felt understood and not so lonely. In my adult years, I didn't watch TAS regularly but this version of Batman was always on my mind. You have touched more lives than you know, Batman/Mr.Conroy.
He simply isn't just a comic book character or a cartoon, he is that voice in our head that motivates us, drives us to become stronger and keeps us intact. Truly mesmerizing

"Every adults life".....don't wanna be rude or something but the amount of pain, trauma, discipline, suffering this man has is wayyy wayyy beyond the average adults in this era. or You are just saying that the concept is similar, that every adult have a perpetual war they are battling. Which is true even if they do or do not realize it, altho not nearly as close to the level on which batman constantly fight. Just 1 or 2 events out of thousands which occured in his life would be an average person's whole life story.

I watched Mask of the Phantasm recently then I am the Night from TAS and finally Rebirth part 1 from Batman Beyond. To see the life of Bruce as a crime fighter in his prime then fast forward to him as an older man, alone and hanging up the cape after coming close to breaking his one rule is as legendary as it is heartbreaking: *"Never again" (shuts down the Batcave)* RIP Kevin. He fought to the end, just like the very character he voiced 🦇

Every mean person is just a hurt little kid, a kid that never healed from the pain of life, a kid that just wants to share his pain with others to see his everyday suffering.
He says the war is never over, and he's right... but that's because he's fighting the war for the best parts of ourselves sgainst the worst parts of ourselves. Batman himself is the first to admit he has that darkness inside him, but he chooses to defy it, and stop those who would subject others to their own darkness. And, well, in that kind of battle, success is hard to categorically quantify... but I would say the metric that matters is that he inspires others to join in that fight, in whatever scale. You don't have to brawl madmen in costumes, just choosing the right thing over the wrong thing is enough.

Batman is an amazing representation of how far a man can develop himself physically, intellectually,financially, and spiritually. His superhuman strength and supernatural skill set are what makes him beyond average and simply badass.
This episode was so heartfelt and down to earth compared to most batman media nowadays, that's why batman the animated series was so loved. Instead of batman being a paranoid character, cutting himself out because he thinks hes better, he cuts himself out to save the ones he loves. Batman was never meant to be this godlike character, he was meant to be a troubled man trying to do the right thing, saving others from the trauma he experienced because of a cruel world and bad people.

Kevin Conroy brought something special to Batman TAS. His voice is what makes Bruce and Batman. But when he’s talking as Batman, it’s what the audience is more in tune with. Him telling his father figure as a superhero that he’s tired speaks volumes on every level, He’s the Batman he’s not supposed to be tired, he’s supposed to be relentless no matter what. But he’s still a man behind the mask with emotions, and him having PTSD that he turned into a motivational tool to help others is still what makes down to earth. I literally feel tired every single day from my family work and failures, but one thing for sure so are superheroes. Rest Easy Kevin. 🕊️

Its not about him being a roof hopping, crime fighting multimillioner night crusader that makes him so appealing to young and mature audiences, but his vulnerability, his humanity and how closely it speaks about the human condition as a whole, and everything that comes with it; fear, doubt, exhaustion, despair. Yet he pushes through and musters the courage to keep putting on the cowl, even if all odds are stacked against him, its not a choice for him, but a mission to accomplish for the people he swore to protect. This is what being a man is about, which is what makes this character so great, its the MAN in Batman that touches us on a profoundly human level.

This batman helped me stay strong during my school years (elementary onwards). I felt so isolated without any friends, helpless against the bullies, unwanted by women, but when I'd get home and watch this cartoon, I suddenly felt understood and not so lonely. In my adult years, I didn't watch TAS regularly but this version of Batman was always on my mind. You have touched more lives than you know, Batman/Mr.Conroy.
He simply isn't just a comic book character or a cartoon, he is that voice in our head that motivates us, drives us to become stronger and keeps us intact.

Conroy was able to voice him so well and with such dedication. And in doing so, he made the most human Batman of them all. I watched Mask of the Phantasm recently then I am the Night from TAS and finally Rebirth part 1 from Batman Beyond. To see the life of Bruce as a crime fighter in his prime then fast forward to him as an older man, alone and hanging up the cape after coming close to breaking his one rule is as legendary as it is heartbreaking:

He says the war is never over, and he's right... but that's because he's fighting the war for the best parts of ourselves sgainst the worst parts of ourselves. Batman himself is the first to admit he has that darkness inside him, but he chooses to defy it, and stop those who would subject others to their own darkness. And, well, in that kind of battle, success is hard to categorically quantify... but I would say the metric that matters is that he inspires others to join in that fight, in whatever scale. You don't have to brawl madmen in costumes, just choosing the right thing over the wrong thing is enough.

This episode was so heartfelt and down to earth compared to most batman media nowadays, that's why batman the animated series was so loved. Instead of batman being a paranoid character, cutting himself out because he thinks hes better, he cuts himself out to save the ones he loves. Batman was never meant to be this godlike character, he was meant to be a troubled man trying to do the right thing, saving others from the trauma he experienced because of a cruel world and bad people.

Kevin Conroy brought something special to Batman TAS. His voice is what makes Bruce and Batman. But when he’s talking as Batman, it’s what the audience is more in tune with. Him telling his father figure as a superhero that he’s tired speaks volumes on every level, He’s the Batman he’s not supposed to be tired, he’s supposed to be relentless no matter what. But he’s still a man behind the mask with emotions, and him having PTSD that he turned into a motivational tool to help others is still what makes down to earth.
