- So the new HOI4 DLC finally brought the ability to embargo other countries.
Now you can imagine how this mechanic could work in a HOI4 Multiplayer, you know, having the ability to stop people from trading with you and basically sanctioning them.
Well the Germany and Axis in this HOI4 MP game found out the hard way...
Back to another HOI4 Multiplayer game and this one will have plenty of tank esports action.
But more importantly lots of memes in this Hearts of Iron 4 game, especially with the embargo mechanic that By Blood Alone introduced.

If someone is just gonna grind a country for xp and you decide to delete your unit I see no problem. Hes going to lose the equipment but not have to deal with continuing to lose more equipment because it's being grinded by a game mechanic. I would say it's roleplaying the government just giving up on the division and refusing to send more supply because you dont have the option in game to stop supplying an individual unit

Hoi 4 is very bizarre for a strategy game.
There's no real _'Meta"_ because it's squashed before it can ever emerge.
The actual _"Meta"_ is learning and following lobby rules.
I find most content creators are _really_ slow to catch on to obvious things _(Feedback is finally realizing SPAA only requires 35 units, providing discount armor)_
And nobody understands Navy. They Roach spam for -50% debuffs from positioning and recommend no-armor... when any armor anywhere deletes destroyers.
Or they don't realize the 4 carrier rule is for naval bombers to sortie.

You’re suggesting the players develop a strategy given the game mechanics - which is what I meant by a _’meta.’_
Ie, the grand strategy for the Allies _should_ include sanctions/embargoes, and the Axis players _should_ be aware of their world tension and justifications.

Embargo mechanics must be balanced -0.5% stability per month
that makes no sense. The cost of embargo is that you dont get civs from trading with them. It is a pure economic policy that is rarely faced with significant domestic resistance

Should be +5% cg use then this would represent the factories that you hypothetically save from importing consumer goods (under the hood cause no real eco in hoi) instead needing to be domestically produced.
